What were they ranked when Pac actually fought them? Only a clown would claim he is fighting the best available opponents given the circumstances. Especially considering he has been ducking Mayweather for two years.

Robert - You're ****ing joking mate.

Two negotiations, two times Floyd didn't sign and then has not fought in over a year now cause he doesn't feel like it.

Pac's been a welter since the Hatton fight. He's virtually cleaned out the division of top fighters and now a fighter like Victor Ortiz is rated #2. There are no more fights left for him at welter, besides the guy who doesn't want to fight. The names Arum mentioned for his next fight are the names alot of his haters have been calling him to fight in the divisions below, Marquez, Bradley, Judah. Everyone should be happy now and looking forward to them now. Highly doubt it though, there will always be something to hate when it comes to Pac

    Exactly right.

While I have a lot more respect for Pacquiao's speed, improved footwork, improved defense, and ring generalship after last night....you just stated some clear facts. Mayweather's last 5 or 6 opponents are coming off huge wins, while Pac's are coming off nearly debilitating losses. Mayweather also gets to the guys first, then everyone discredits his opponent.... until Pac comes along a faces what's left.

If only Pac agreed to prove he's completely clean by taking those USADA tests (that Floyd also agreed to). It would have been Pac's highest payday ever and we would have had the fight boxing needed by this point. I truly believe that.

pac - jmm 3 at 147...pac probably wants 25MM guaranteed....after pac/clottey, the pac/margo jmw farce, and now this mosley facade....i wouldn't be surprised if they passed

Manny can fight GBP fighters if he really wants to. He has leverage and the popularity to make money for two promotional outfits. Ortiz would be an awesome next fight. I do not know what to think of a next Marquez fight. Maybe at 140 or below it will be more competitive.

Greenburg already lost credibility to criticize long time ago.

. . . why should he care if Pac is cherry picking? His job is to bring $$$$$$ to HBO.

Pac picked Void to fight ASAP, but Void refuses to fight Pac. All this while Void beats up women, talk about cherry picking......................

I tend to agree w/you here but not why u think!!

I agree because why in the world would Pac pick a fighter w/momentum coming off a KO victory when he could pick a guy who hasn't looked good or was recently stopped!!

Manny cleaned out ww division which was the glamour division a mere 1-2 years ago. Mosley, Margarito, Cotto, Clottey were all the top guys. Regardless of whether you think some of these were past it or tailor made, they were ranked in the top 5 at ww so you can't ask anything more from a fighter.

He should now move down to 140 which has surpassed the 147 in terms of glamour. Assuming the fights with Khan and Mayweather will not happen, beating #1 Bradley and #3 Maidana at 140 would be outstanding. Two completely different styles and both in their primes. He should first go for Maidana as we need an exciting fight after the Mosley one and winning that should make him the #1 or #2 contender setting up the fight with Bradley who is #1 or #2 making it a ring title fight.

This is a perfect situation for Pacquiao as he'd almost certainly be more dominant at 140. His natural weight is more like 143 not 149, making the cut very easily. Funnily, he'd still be the smaller man against most of the jr ww's.
