I just think he was trying to box more then he usually does and not lunge in as much. He may have been injured too. Who knows. If he's slowing down he somehow managed to get off 727 punches against a moving target...that doesn't exactly sound like he's slowing down to me.

I didn't get this far. What bull****. It's like someone trying to have his cake and eat it too.

Don't listen to the idiotic haters that spew the same inept nonsense of Pac looking ordinary when fighters move. Who looks better hitting a moving target than a stationary target? He still was beating Mosley to the punch, and punching Mosley in the mouth and making him back-peddle like a kid trying to avoid a bully.

Pac was very sharp. Much sharper than in the Margo fight. His defense was tight (Hence Mosley landed only 20%), and wasn't as easy to hit as had been in previous fights. He had that high guard, and the hand-speed was there. If you want to begrudge on footspeed, which is something I think that may has declined since the Cotto fight. But honestly, I didn't notice he had any leg problems during this fight although he claimed to have issues. If you want to harbor on punch-stats or hunger/fire than fine. Be a simpleton like the rest of these idiots. The rest of the talk about Pac being open and lunging really isn't even worth rebutting. Mosley was showing him nothing and backing up. He had no reason to respect him at that point.

Pac followed Shane rather than cut him off more than I would have liked.

I kept yelling "step to your right" at the tv.

Followed by "step to your right and throw the left upper cut - and you'll knock him out!"

Of course it's deniable. He looked like **** against Margo at times getting hit with **** he should've not been getting hit with. He was ploddy as hell in that fight, too. And in that fight he had a guy coming toward him. I saw more sharpness, accuracy, and speed in his punches with a guy moving away from him. You're trying to diminish criticisms about his weakness as a fighter (Which are determined due in part to his style) and instead pointing out a lack of sharpness that just wasn't there. Pac commanded the center of the ring against a fighter that didn't stay still and had some speed.

As for Mosley, the guy said it was the most hurt he has ever been. Did he look equally as hurt in that fight than in the Forrest fight? You've got to be kidding me.

You won't acknowledge Mosley's chin and stamina are far deteriorated from his prime. He's a shot fighter. The punch Mosley landed on Mayweather was definitely harder than the one Pac landed on Floyd. At least equally. This much is almost indisputable, but of course you're going to continue on because you don't even understand the factors age, nerves, and stamina deficiencies can have on a fighters chin. You'll soon probably argue the punch he took from Forrest wasn't as bad as the one Pac landed.

I never said Mosley had nothing to do with Pacquiao looking bad. He definitely did , but Pacquiao clearly wasn't his sharpest based on what I've seen. His punches and his footwork were stiff. He looked great in spurts, but he was terribly inconsistent compared to his previous fights (and I agree he didn't look his best in the Margo fight either). You don't have to believe it, but I do. Unless you really believe he's declining which I disagree with because again, he looked every bit like the old Manny Pacquiao in small spurts.

He lacked the bounce in his legs. I noticed his legs seemed to slow down a bit in the Margo fight. I didn't notice an issue because I thought it was a matter of tactics because he knew he could beat Mosley to the punch and didn't need to bounce around wasting energy. His punches weren't stiff. He was rattling off combinations more explosive and sharper in this fight with a better quickness and accuracy than in his last fight IMO. Margo and Shane have perceived comparable chins (Not true at this stage) but even Pac caught Shane with quick, accurate shots he didn't see coming, hence the knockdown.

As Hopkins said "Legs slow down, arms don't." Floyd's legs have slowed down more than Pac, though, so don't worry. He's not the boxer-mover that jabbed his way to a decision against Oscar. He has much better preference to fight in the pocket, and I think Manny still has the footspeed to catch him.

By the way, if you think his legs looked stiff that had a lot to do with his cramp I'd say. Although, again, I didn't notice it. Maybe the showtime announcers influenced you. I'm not sure about decline. It's about as much evident as the ad******g to the weight has slowed him down, naturally. Still, he's 32 years old and even in the modern world that's rarely you're peak of powers. My concerns would have been due to punishment, but as a fan I'm relieved that's not the case.

yes, when cotto was on his bike, pac had the difficulty in landing big shots on him. i was wrong when i said pac can't cut-off the ring, he can, but not that good at it. it showed last night.

btw, if you think i hate pac, well, im a bigger pac fan than you :deal

Manny has a habit of walking to his left. He knows how to cut the ring off, but I think he just feels comfortable in that position. I agree that he needs to cut the ring off more . I'm surprised Freddie Roach hasn't drilled this into his head already ,because I know he's aware of it.

Stop the excuses. Shane is ~40 years old. Fans bood Pac. Fans bood Shane. It stunk so bad that my dog was trying to bury the TV in the back yard.

"I was pretty hurt. I was pretty stunned. It surprised me, because I didn't think it was a big shot when he threw it... That was a great shot, and I definitely felt it and went down." (Mosley after the fight)

    It's his biggest flaw, imo.

Something that he'll have to definitely refine if/when he faces Floyd,(particularly if it's the non in-pocket fighting version of Floyd that he faces.)
