Let's be honest. All Gander has done with this thread is talk about how Pac's style isn't based on cutting of the ring, but out-speeding you. Just like how Mayweathers isn't based on throwing six punch combinations (Unless you're dead) because he's a defensive-minded fighter. Most fighters styles aren't flawless.

I don't believe too much of the hype that he looked ordinary or bad against Cotto and Shane when they were moving. I thought they looked desperate, moving away, and determined to survive. Mosley and Cotto looked better when they commanded the center of the ring and jabbed. Once you give ground to Pac and move back in a straight line you're basically admitting defeat. Mayweather isn't going to be a boxer-mover, that's not even his preferred style in his prime. He did that because of the size and weight against Oscar in 2007, but can't fight like that anymore. The fight will be fought within the center of the ring. A spot where Mayweather may have the advantage, and could make Pac look bad at times. But other times Pac will have a work-rate, speed, and accuracy to touch Floyd in the mouth more than any other fighter could. Too bad the fight won't happen. Neither man truly wants it. Pac enjoys eating Arum's 20$+ over-matched opponents, and with his legacy, fame, and life he's content with that and not having to go to battle to prove he's the best.

But more hurt than he was against Forrest? Come on now, don't bull****.

By the way, which punch was harder. The one Pac landed on Mosley or the one Mosley landed on Mayweather twice in the second round. Don't say the Pac shot because Mosley's chin is more "proven." Mosley's punch at 147 pounds is also more proven than Pac's. After that, reevaluate how the Mayweather-Pac fight would go if that were Mayweather. Otherwise, predict a Pac KO if (It won't happen) the fight happens or stop talking nonsense.

His legs also went wobbly while he was on the ground. And throughout the rest of the third, Shane's legs were gone. Mosley was very hurt.

btw I have to say after watching the fight again, after the fake knockdown in the 10th (or w/e) , manny was pissed and he brought the old manny pacquiao out of him. If he would have fought that way from the beginning, shane would have been toast.

You talking about the time Mosley lost his balance and fell on the ground when in the clinch? Yeah his balance looked like ****. Such a lack of coordination from a shot fighter, what a surprise.

I honestly think Pac was on cruise control from round 4 to 10. Once in awhile, Mosley would land a nice counter right and Pac would turn up his energy level for a bit. Then, after the KD call in round 10, Pac seemed to wake up for two rounds.

    Maybe he was just bored?

I think the argument about Pac's lack of fire are the most valid ones I've seen. He's clearly not the same killer who seemed like he wanted to destroy a pulverized Cotto right in front of his daddies. He's a a real nice guy. Maybe his foot-speed too. But stuff about technique, hand-speed, and sharpness are off-base on my view.

hmm... if pac can't cut off the ring, why did we see mosley staggering back all over it whenever pac hit him while he was back-peddling?

and why did mosley end up with a more swollen face in this fight compared to floyd's?

also, why did punch stats show that pac actually landed with a higher percentage of power punches on mosley compared to floyd?

so, who actually between them (pac & floyd) is better at cutting off the ring?

No , definitely not , and I've never said this.

The one Mosley landed on floyd was a bigger shot, but what are you trying to say Floyd has a better chin then Pacquiao?? As for your second point , Mosley does have more proven power at 147 then Pacquiao, but to what degree is debatable. We're still learning about Pacquiao's power at this point. He knocked down (and hurt) a guy who's only been down in one fight in his career, and he's known to have a 10/10 iron chin. I think going by that criteria it's safe to say Floyd would have been just as bothered by that punch if not moreso. Floyd has never, ever had a great chin in my view, it's always been questionable.

Good point. I agree, Pac seems to friendly in the ring now. I think if the Floyd fight happens, it'll bring the tiger out of Manny again.
