Mayweather was walking Shane back down within 10 seconds of that shot.

Agreed except with the last part. I'm not sure Mosley did enough to win the second round against Pacquiao but he did win the 2nd because of those huge punches i.e. scoring on damage. I actually thought Floyd performed better and if those two big punches didn't land on him he would've won the 2nd but Mosely won the second round on landing the best two punches of the round.

Pacquiao did struggle to stop Shane's running, hugging, and overall negativity whereas Mayweather won with ease for 11 of those 12 rounds landind the more effective, clear punches. I don't see how people say Pacquiao did better.

Floyd did finish better than Mosley in the 2nd but that's mainly because Shane used up all of his energy trying to finish Mayweather.

Not really but we can bring up Pacquiao's failures to properly cut off the ring. Shane is not the only fighter to fight negative and negative fighters have been stopped/beat up before(Bizzarro against Duran, Hakkar against Hopkins, Mora in parts of the Vera fight).

Floyd was more impressive and more dominant. I know pac scored the knockdown but mosley was fighting a very negative fight from the start.

i rewatched the round and i was partially correct. floyd did not immediately bounced back until the last 30 seconds of the round. he was holding and covering for almost 1:30 mins after he got rocked.

for the last 30 secs, floyd started to recover and was unloading already. shane on the next round was already breathing heavily.

if what you meant walking shane back down was covering and holding then you could say that. he used almost 1:30 to fully recover and was seen steady only on the last 30 secs of the round.

you are spinning this in favor of Pacman. Floyd dominated Shane also. As a matter of fact in someways I think Shane hit Pacman more consistently than he did Floyd, but he did get the big punch on Floyd. He looked more energized with Pacman than with Floyd. He just didn't let go of his punches. With Floyd there was nothing Shane could do.. I almost give the edge to Floyd.

Both Shane(old) and Pacquiao(has no more challenges) should retire but Pacquiao has MUCH more in the tank.

He threw a lot more punches vs Floyd because he could, he didn't fear Mayweathers power. Against Pac he was running and holding for dear life, he respected his power, of course his output would be far lower.

Assuming his defensive position and continuing to walk forward doesn't equal holding on for a minute and a half.

I agree. Also Shane's defense was much better against Pacquiao than it was against Floyd. Floyd got into his mind and was able to nullify anything Shane could do resulting in Shane becoming a nervous, jittery mess. Pacquiao's power made Shane a scared fighter that was only willing to survive.
