    I dont know?
They still need the WBC belt, but will he be the undisputed champion?

And what about the Lineal Championship, who have been vacant since Lennox Lewis?

Not undisputed in the sensse of needing the WBC

but he has the RING Title

I dont know if he is lineal

    it went Lewis retired

    Vitali retired

then I dont know if somebody got the lineage or if Vitali is re recognized in his comeback

The only way we get a true champion is if Haye wins and then fights Vitali. The winner of that would be the true, undisputed champion, and the new lineage would be made from there.

I don't think Haye gets the Ring title for beating Wlad. He would be the man, sure, but not the undisputed or lineal champ. He'd have to beat Vitali for that.

Lewis won all 3 of the major championship belts(wbc, wba and ibf) when he beat Holyfield.

Holyfield won all 3 of the major championship belts(wbc, wba and ibf) when he beat Douglas.

Foreman won 2 of the 3 major championship belts(ibf, wba) when he beat the lineal champion Moorer.

All three had more legitimate claims to the title when compared to Wladimir.

Wladimir has won 2 of the 4 major championship belts(wbo, ibf, wba, wbc), he has yet to beat the second best boxer of his reign(vitali).

Wbo wasn't considerd a major heavyweight title until the rise of the Klitschkos.

There is a huge different to be The Ring Champion and to be The Lineal Champion.

These to titles are NOT the same.

I saw Wlad as the lineal and Ring champion after he beat Chagaev. That was a bout between the #1 and #3 guy at the time and does the trick for me, even though it isn't perfect. To expect a guy in today's climate to gather all 4 belts isn't realistic. Politics and fewer appearances by fighters make that a near impossible feat anymore. Considereing Wlad has beaten most of the worthy opponents out there including Chagaev when he was rated #3 made him the champ.

Without doubt this is for the undisputed heavyweight championship, 3 of the 4 major belts are at stake.

You can bet your bottom doller than if Haye wins he will take on Big brother Kilt.
