What is your opinion on his foam sticks? While I'm sure his whole training method is not shown on tv the whole foam sticks and towel ducking isn't to effective to work on reflexes and the lack of a mit will not have the power of resistance to simulate a live target. As a result when you hit a life target with combos its going to wear you down alot faster because you didn't train for that. Although I'm sure takes place, sparring partners wile sparring won't let you take 5, or 6 shot combos to perfect the technique, speed and power at the height of the opponent your training for.

    What are your opinions?

Looks like fun, Like you said something different from the mits.
I'm sure the pads are still used at some point, Seems the foam is used to acquire another twist on the old method. (Maybe speed?)

    I like it.

I'm a strong advocate for the foam sticks and towels routine. It's cool because you don't even have to take a break from fun time at the pool. You can just play with the foamy toys and twirl towels at each other, I love it.

He's not the only one that does it. I like it because it's speed-based and the defensive drills simulate arms well. Mosley couldn't pull the trigger well at all, but his footwork and head-movement were pretty spry. If it could sharpen a 39 year old Mosley then I think it has some value.

It is actually very good for reflexes, the same as the bouncing the tennis ball technique. I'm sure they do padwork, etc during their training which is why the mentioned techniques are beneficial.

Yeah that's what I thought, but they make it seem that that's his only routine.....the right that that's all he uses had me asking myself a shot load of questions, as an addition to traditional routines makes alot more since, one thing I like that I don't see alot in gyms is the horizontal double end ball.

I think I remember something about richardson not being able to use mitts for some reason so I right that was all he used...but now that I'm geting some good feed back It seems to just be am addition to traditional training.

Yeah they don't seem to show other parts of their training. Kind of like Mayweather when he is on the pads, I'm positive that his padwork is more complex than that being shown on the telly. The foam sticks , etc are original for 24/7, etc...thats probably why they keep showing it.
