Mayweather's first order of business was to debunk most rumors heard recently about a return fight with Paul Spadafora.

"Listen, I didn't even know Paul Spadafora was still fighting....All the allegations and rumors are false."

Mayweather also shot down the idea that his uncles or father speak to him on a regular basis.

"Everything you hear is nothing but lies. There's only one person I speak to on the regular and that's Al Haymon."

Mayweather also gave a nickname for his last opponent, Shane Mosley, when asked how Mosley would fair against Manny Pacquiao this Saturday.

"Who, leftovers?"

In a move straight out of the book of David Haye, who made insulting t-shirts of his heavyweight rivals, the Klitschko Brothers, before signing up to face them, Floyd Mayweather plugged t-shirts that will be on his website urging Pacquiao to take a performance-enhancer test.

"All I say every day is this, just take the test! Floyd's scared of you? Okay. If I'm scared of you, why won't you take the tests? Why are you scared to take the tests? The shirts will be on my website soon. "Take the tests!"

That punch wasn't as solid as people think. That was the "old man KO". For whatever reason older guys seem to go down when a punch lands there behind the ear. None of them seem all that hurt just a quick short circuit. Some have the presence of mind to play it off like it was behind the head, Hopkins. Some just put the guard up, Jones. Mosley looked mad and got up and fought on.

Mayweather would never have been hit by that punch because he rarely dips to the right with ish front hand up and rear hand floating in space. I didn't see Pac land one shot that would catch Mayweather. That doesn't mean it wouldn't happen.

 

It's not because an old dude got hit behind the ear. It's simple KO science. If the base of the brain stem is traumatized by an impact, it instantly shuts down.

The temple, down to anywhere on the jawline, and all the way to the back of the neck where the end of the spine meets the skull encircles the brain stem. Hit anywhere around that and it stuns or shuts down depending on how flush you hit. I've actually seen someone get KTFO in a street fight outside a bar getting hit in the upper back of the neck.

But no that punch would not put Mayweather to sleep. It didn't even hit flush on Mosley imo. Obviously Mosley has a better chin, so Floyd would have been in more trouble for the rest of the round, but highly highly doubt he would be out. Mayweather's chin is not glass.

If that punch hit Bradley on the other hand, I don't think he'd beat the count.
