There was no doubt in my mind that KP won the fight. But there is also no doubt in my mind that he is not ready for the top boxers of SMW. KP better go down to 160 or just fight C level fighters.

I thought Pavlik may have edged it, but he looked like a regional fighter. I don't expect him to ever get in the mix of things again.

I'm not a Pavlik fan at all, I was hoping he'd get upset here but he clearly won IMO. The first guidleine when socring a fight is who lands the most clean effective punches which was clearly Pavlik in most rounds after round 5. Lopez did excellent with a huge step up in competetion and with a few more fights against top 15 opposition can be a top 10 guy at SMW but he was shoe shining with little power behind most of his shots. I had it 7 to 5 in rounds for Pavlik. If it was a 12 round fight Pavlik woulda had him out of there. Again this is coming from a guy who doesn't even like Pavlik a tiny bit.

I had Pavlik winning, and I think People are quick to deduct rounds he won from him because we havent seen the same Kelly we saw with Taylor or with Miranda... sometimes having that kind of knock out power can effect the way fans and judges score fights especially when they expect it from you in a come back fight like this.

Pavlik looked Rusty to me, but he was landing solid shots, as to were Lopez wasnt landing as solid or as clean....
Kelly won the fight, people need to give him a little time to shake the rust...

I scored it for Pavlik. It was a close fight but i thought he did more than enough to earn the victory.

A lot of it is subjective but in this case pressure and clean punches fit the bill in what the judges were looking for.

The cleaner harder shots should out weigh the shots that are not as clean, and when I mean clean they do not have to be equal in terms of Power but solid clean shots that are turned over correctly.

All to often fans get it mixed up when they see a flashy speedy combonation, alot of times there are contact shots, for example you throw the combonation with the last shot being the one that has the pop behind it thats an effective combonation if that shot did infact score or land clean. thats what you call creating the opening.

What I saw Lopez doing was landing shots but most were not ment to do damage most were ment to try and just out land Pavlik and hope that they can win the round that way now if Pavlik wasnt comming back with them counter left hooks that were solid Lopez would have a win right now, but becuase Pavlik took the risk and more less looked to catch and counter he in the right should get credit as well..

Honestly it was close, but clear for Pavlik.

“It’s got to be a big, big fight. [Carl] Froch, [Lucien] Bute, somebody up their in the top level of fighters,” Pavlik said

“I don’t want any more coming back into play fights, I want a big fight.”

Pavlik’s manager Cameron Dunkin said he wants to facilitate his fighter’s request, but isn’t sure which upcoming card, or network would be the best fit.

“I would love for him to fight in Las Vegas again,” said Dunkin, noting that Pavlik is a perfect 11-0. there.

This isn't the amateurs ****. Hurt counts more than phantom arm punches looking like they landed to the ringside announcers trying to make it interesting.

First off Lets call a Fellow Pavlik Fan a **** when there are very few of us who Still think "he's Not a BUm" like all of the UK..

    Hermit,

Maybe my Vision Was blurred cause i was so amped up for this fight! When I see Our Guy in there Looked like crap, and this "tough" lopez guy who is pushing the pace and landing more more punches its gonna **** me off! When Lopez is Obviously Hurt/tired And Kelly Didnt go after him, I felt Lopez Stole Some rds at the End because Of the Punch Out-put! Thats all
