I wanna say first that I'm not saying Floyd will win or Manny would win, I actually have no clue, I'm just saying the theory of Floyd being overwhelmed with Pac's punches gotta go out the window by now right?

I was talking to guy here about a 1 year ago, and I was trying to explain to him that there was no way Manny would rush Floyd and throw thousands of punching leading to a KO, I was telling him when you face a slick counter like Floyd he will drop your punch output. I think it will be more of a boxing match right? I mean even the biggest ******* has to agree that beating Floyd by KO by overwhelming him with punches is pretty much out of the picture.

I see it more like RL vs RD the million dollar question is it fight one or two.

Actually I think it will come down to that. Pac didnt just charge at Mosley because he was worried about Shanes power, he wont be with Floyd. I think round 10-12 of pac-mosley is how Pac will want to fight Floyd, try to overwhelm him.

Floyd will either have to do what Mosley did and just run when Pac is throwing, or he could counter Pac in the middle of those combinations. Problem is, when he attempts to counter Pac, he risks getting KO.

Mosley didnt attempt to open up not because of stamina issues, but in his own words, he was being too careful.

he will overwhelm him with agression and relentlessness. He doesn't have to throw his hands like a wildman to do that. Everytime Floyd tries to get off, Pac will let his hands go. And every time Floyd is within range, Pac will let his hands go. And when Floyd is not in range, Pac will have him on the backfoot. Floyd will either be on his bike like he's never been before, or have to dodge 4-5-6 punch combinations.

Floyd will have to throw combinations and exchange to lower Pacquiao's output. He just doesn't have the power to deter him with single shot counters.

You forgot to add with your wishful thinking that after the fight Manny puts his **** in your mouth for the best happy ending ever in your life. Manny couldn't even get Shane on the backfoot. How the hell is he going to catch Floyd on the backfoot?

I sure hope that is the case. It will be a punishing mistake! :thumbsup

Mosley was able to EASILY stay clear of Pac's power (until the later rounds). What also isn't mentioned is Pac's reaching and lunching in frustration. So do we believe that FMJ could not do what SSM did with his feet? Will Pac be LESS frustrated if FMJ can add to that movement a lightning fast jab and cross/hook?

I think this fight CLEARLY showed Pac can be nullified bye defense. Even in the hands of a guy whose defense isn't his best attribute. It does not look good for Pac. :nono

sure he can. Floyd's going to run all day. he's not going to sit still and let Manny set up his shots.

Running all day wont win him the fight. Marquez used movement and combinations. He countered Pacquiao aggression with combinations. Floyd doesn't throw combinations, he potshots. He's also got a questionable chin , and he's reluctant to throw punches. Pacquiao's got him in those areas.

Both PAC and Floyd possess the ability to affect their opponents punch output...both for different reasons.

Floyd through his great defensive ability and reflexes allow him to stifle his opponents b/c lets face it....Floyd can make you miss and pay if you aren't a combination puncher or busy enough to keep him defensive.

PAC overwhelms his opponents and punishes them round after round and keeps his opponents unwilling or unable to produce consistant and meaningful offense.

That's why this fight is so interesting. PAC has the momentum going into any fight until he loses or has a bad outing. Floyd hasn't done bad, but he's just not consistant enough at this point and based on his outside problems that can only affect his mental state....and with a guy like Floyd he's reliant on his mental strength in that ring...and he'll need every bit of that if he's to face beat PAc.
