That was the most pathetic showing of Shane i have ever seen. I think i saw him throw 3 right hands the whole fight. No hooks, just pawing jabs. Now I have seen him take a beating for worse by Forrest and he was getting **** piller to post, staggering everywhere and fought back tooth and nail wobbling. What is up with him? Did Bob grant him a fight with big pay so he would throw the fight? Not saying that he could beat Pac in a str8 up fight but it looks like he is not allow to attack Pac on purpose.
Shane's strategy was to circle to Pac's right away from the straight left and pump the jab and throw the right when Pac came to his right - it actually sort of worked as he found a home for the jab, kept away from the straight left, but couldn't land his right. Shane didn't know what to do when Pac kept his left hand high, that took away his right hand, which is a looping right anyway and not a true straight right. Mosley should have been looking to work the body too imo In the first 2 rounds Mosley was level pegging Pacquaio but after the KD lost allot of belief and looked to survive but did cause problems throughout the fight Pac stood off Shane himself, both in truth were negative, Pac was respectful of Shane's power and was cautious. Pac s the better straighter puncher, more workrate, better reactions, and has his legs in tact Really though Shane's legs are gone, his stamina, his coordination, he couldn't pull the trigger when there were opportunities and I don't think he had the self belief either
Regardless if pac have his hands to guard his left or not, he should throw and deliever some block damage. Shane can bang and even a block shot will cause damage. I didn't even see any stiff jab just pawing.
He didn't throw the fight. He just fought not to get KOed. He realized he's 39, near the end, got another underserved pay day and didn't want to end his career on a horrible note because had he come forward, he would've been KOed.
When he wasn't able to take advantage of his opportunities to throw the right (or any shot at all) after he had drawn Manny toward him and over extended him as he came in, at that point it was clear he couldn't win. He just couldn't pull the trigger in my opinion, had he done so he would have been racking up the points because Manny couldn't cut him off and there couldn't land in any effective fashion until the last 3 or 4 when Mosley tired. I don't think it wasn't that he didn't try to win, his body just wouldn't allow him to do so when presented with the opportunity.
