I can't stand the wanna be gangsta acts(wankstas) and talking only about money. You don't pick a profession where you can get beat up and be all about money. What about acting like a fighter? PWill and Bradley not trash talking(closest they get to that is saying if anyone wants some then come get some) sadly hurts them because the squeaky wheel gets the oil, and they get left dry alot. If anything, acting like a punk puts more pressure on you to perform a certain way. People will say "I sure hope his cocky punk ass fights like he talks!" That is why Ali will forever be revered. He talked and talked and talked outside the ring, but did he ever fight and back his words up inside of it....win or lose.

no they havent changed at all

its a numbers game. a lot of black americans are now middle class and therefore live more disperately which means that the old school gyms with 100s of young black dudes fighting and training are gone. there are simply a lot less african american fighters than there used to be and therefore they arent as dominant as they were. nothing racial, nothing about heart / desire etc

its the same as happened with the irish and italians - once they all became middle clas and educated from the early - mid 1900s the numbers dropped incredibly - somehow when you dont have to fight everyday, getting punched in the head for a living is less appealing

How are you gonna label all blacks aa new age hip hop clowns.. when right after that you said Williams and Bradley dotn act like that?

Besides Floyd mayweather what black fighter acts like that? DOnt even count Adrian "the NObody" Broner.. No one even knows who he is except for hard core fans.... And even then, so what .. If they want to idolize rappers and flash money.. What does that have to do with boxing or how serious they take the sport?

Do you hear blacks,Latinos or anyone else complaining that Kelly Pavlik is a washed up ,because he is a new age white guy who gets drunk in bars,l and watches NASCAR,rodeo, ans too much Ohio ST. Football.

And label guys like Kelly Pavlik and Jason Litzau as NASCAR, COllege football,Rolling ROck drinkers rather than being labeled as WHite american fighters!!

Guys like Brian Minto and Jesse Brinkley dont act corny and brag about hanging out in trailer parks or who has the better John Deere tractors!

Yeah too long to read. Kinda how American high school students approach literature! Too long to read, too much to comprehend! That's exactly why the top end of the labor pool in the US comes from India and China! And the US hasthe poorest educational system in the civilzed world. You think there'a correlation between that mindset and hitting an enter button?

look, it is not like both are bad fighters, both are very athletic, fast and have all the tools, that you need as a quality boxer. the thing I have with them is the running (direll) and the holding (ward). it is one thing when you got a good punch and you just trying too survive but ward holds much too often and while direll is very effictive with his fighting style, the running is something I simply dont like, when you do it too much. look how carl froch beat abraham, that was fan pleasing, it was great combos, good body work, full action and no jumping running around and we all know that abraham is one of the hardest puncher, you know what I mean, just an example.

I'm not so sure about more Black Americans in the middle class. That might have been true in the 70's early 80's. I think the disparity of underclass and poverty in black communities have increased 10 fold since the 70's and black middle class communities are disappearing disproportionately. There were more Black millionaires than any other time in American history made under the Reagan administration. But the price to pay for that was our communities being government mandated drug communities to aide the financing of illegal wars in El Salvador & Nicauragua. However less Black athletes are boxing and are spending more time with the big 3 sports. This is because of the lack of facilities available and also there's no boxing in middle or high school these days.

Shane was in with Pac for a paycheck, plain and simple. After he got caught with that punch that knocked him down I was convinced even more on how evident this was. I was really hoping Shane would press the action and give us a great fight. Shane played it really safe and gave the whole world another stinker!

If it were Bradley, Alexander, P-Will, Berto, or Peterson, I am sure all these fighters would give Pac a fight. The reason why, is because they are all young and hungry and capable.

Fighting spirit has nothing to do with race..ok maybe a little bit due to culture, but for the most part, its down to the individual.

    Glen Johnson.

To be fair though, black people started all this ****. At first it was Pac hasnt fought any black people, then its no african-american, then its slick african-american people. If they had just come out and said instead "Pac hasnt fought any slick fighters" then it would simply be about style. Race really didnt need to go into it.

And Freddy Wak will be making fake statements like "now u know why I dont like fighting slick people".

Some black people and the black posters labelled all black fighters slick, now some posters have obliged and labelled them as runners.

Well, now he's fought a 40 year old sweet scientist who can no longer throw any punches. Shane didn't use his biggest weapon, the right hand. If a guy is right in front of you and not punching, shouldn't he be KO'd? Oops, footwork. One of those African American traits! And by the way, Manny didn't fight Black fighters because Murad wouldn't let him. Arum followed suit!

Dont know about Alexander .. He basically quit against Bradley, the excuse was so lame i eve forgot what it was.

I hope Williams can shake off that brutal ko loss to Martinez.. He is a likeable ,laid back, and an exciting fighter with heart.... I thnk PW has become underrated. If he goes back t JM i think he beats everyone thee, if he can put the Martinez loss behind him... Id also favor him to beat Sturm who is regarded as the 2nd best mw.

Peterson doesnt really impress me. I think hes just another run of the mill contender, he got gift by drawing with a pasive and unimpressive Ortiz.
