I believe Cotto. At his sharpest, technically as complete as he'll likely get, great mix of speed and power at WW. I could see him getting close enough to that for a Floyd fight knowing the weight on his shoulders but that was probably as durable and formidable as he'll get physically.

He was at his absolute peak against DLH and Hatton. He is still prime, though. Anybody who says any different is either making excuses for a loss that hasn't happened yet or trying to preemptively discredit whomever beats him.

  7. Thats a different really good thread.

I already ended this one. NEXT

physical prime was somewhere at the lower weights. I think he has peaked as a fighter sometime in the last few years , maybe the Oscar or Cotto fight. He may be starting to decline a little bit, but it's hard to tell. It'll be more clear in his next fight.

Hatton/Cotto. Cotto fight took alot out of Manny as it was punishing, his face and ear were badly bruised even tho he seemed super human that night abit like Hatton was against Tszyu.

So for me it was the time between Hatton and Cotto....very fast!!

A couple of people confusing prime with peak.

    Peak - Hatton/Cotto.
Prime - Diaz, onwards (although I believe he may be leaving his prime now...still very much elite and the best in the world though).

It has to be discussed side by side.

Because Floyd's prime is probably during the Gatti fight, which was ages ago, while Pac's prime is probably during the Cotto fight, which is very recent.

    hmm says . . .

I think he's still in his prime . . . if you watched the post fight interview after Mosley he explains why he didn't look the way he did/ looked off that night . . .

  14. Floyd isn't mentioned in the thread title or original post... they have never fought and will never fight...

It's a different thread. Go start it.
