This is just sad, in my opinion:

    http://bit.ly/kkLKUs

Yes, the writer in question actually picked Mosley to win a TKO victory over Pacquiao. But now -- after the writer has been made to look, possibly, like a fool for his incorrect pick -- Mosley was, of course, a diminished opponent for Pacquiao (so diminished, in fact, that the writer picked Mosley to beat Pacquiao).

Look, if you don't like the biggest current draw in the sport, that's ok. Even if such an attitude might not be in the best interest of the sport.

It's astonishing that a man the writer dubs a "one-dimensional" fighter is the first person in boxing history to win titles in eight different weight classes. I guess that is one heck of a dimension, eh?

Finally, the writer seems piqued that Pacquiao's career may not last very much longer. Again, interesting. If you are a fan of the sport, and want the sport to grow, why might you possibly be happy that the best fighter in the sport, and a man who has transcended the sport and is bringing new fans to the sport constantly, might be ending his career sooner than some might think? I'm not sure that makes much sense.

Perhaps all of this is just the writing of someone who got their pick wrong and is trying to deflect from that poor prediction. I don't know.

That's Vivek for you. He's terribly inconsistent and at times, makes statements that belong more on a message board, not presented as an actual article. He can't carry Rums' jockstrap..

Hey, everyone's got an opinion. Or, is that "an agenda"?

The writer in question is not the first person to get a pick wrong and possibly try to cover-up that fact. Sometimes, in my experience, when a writer is made to look bad over a prediction, the writer will purposely try to run-down the figure (Pacquiao, in this instance) who made the writer look bad for having picked against the figure.

I have no idea of that is what the writer in question is doing here. But I sure hope that's not the case.

Yes. I believe the writer's pick was Mosley by TKO in the 12th round.

To me, the piece just seems contradictory: How can you dismiss Mosley if you also picked him to win the fight? I don't get that. Additionally, Pacquiao defeated Mosley by scores surpassing those posted by Mayweather against Mosley. Yet Pacquiao supposedly is reduced in stature, or "exposed", after such a dominating points win?

I just...don't understand the conclusions being drawn in that article.

Never been a fan of Vivek when talking about Pac. He always finds a way to discredit pac and sugarcoat it with thesaurus grabbed words. And yeah, Just like you said about the contradictions.
