this is almost a done deal for july 9th.

what are your thoughts on this fight?

Antillon lost a close fight with Soto but got completely destroyed by Miguel Acosta. But even though Rios destroyed Acosta he fight nothing like acosta to give Antillon the same kind of beating, Acosta used angles and destroyed him with accurate uppercuts.

Not a bad fight, never is with 2 good mexicans meeting. But I can't see past Rios outworking and pressurising him enough to take a routine victory. I'd like to see Premier Sports pick this 1 up

I think Rios wins, he's much more talented and has been constantly improving with every fight but urbano is a tough veteran, he just couldn't handle the slickness acosta brought and brandon is faaar from slick.

Great action fight, and a logical first defence for Rios, challenging but not too difficult. Im picking Rios by late stoppage.

I dont want to call a fighter like Soto a ducker because he's been in many good fights but damn this is the 3rd time he refused to fight Rios, this time even leaving Top Rank.

a unification fight would have been much better.

This is going to be a excellent fight, their styles will really blend well in there. Antillion is a straight up fighter with a lot of heart and loves to brawl. Rios is a bit smarter.

I'm picking Rios by UD or late late stoppage.

Rios will smash him to bits and stop him IMO. Antillons defense, or lack of it, is an absolute disgrace. He literally cannot defend from an uppercut. My Nan could throw an uppercut from halfway across a 20ft ring and still hit him right on the chin. That's why I would actually fear for the guys life is he ever faced Juan Manuel Marquez.

    Rios TKO.

Rios is just a bigger, much more refined version of Antillion. He couldn't do much against Acosta before Aguacerito began to fatigue, but Antillion offers nothing like that kind of movement. He's face-first, and is absolutely hideous defensively. He'll make Rios look like Winky Wright in terms of defensive ability in there, and ultimitely get stopped. He might even get sparked out seeing as Rios can quite clearly retain his power throughout the course of the fight.

Rios is like a small Angulo; he'll get it done.

I admittedly haven't seen the Soto fight (a tear up by all accounts) and have only seen Antillon when he was coming up and then when Acosta smashed him.

Acosta can come again; quality fighter.

Rios brings the heat and stops Antillon late on.
