It is a huge fight. For one it's a unification, for two it's for the Ring belt. It's the top division fighter against a top five fighter. Both have impressive power, both vulnerable. Haye is talking it up. If Haye wins I will be really impressed, not because of his power to KO Wlad K but the ability to absorb the punishment that Wlad's going to be dishing up.
    Wlad by beating.

    Hmmmm..
For the masses im not too sure. hope im wrong. Haye isn't big in the US as he should have been..
This will be huge in the UK and Germany and probably other euro nations.
For boxing heads, yeah..it certainly brings some spark to the HW division, finally!

Hatton had a massive vocal fanbase, but honestly I think this fight is bigger or at least close. It's hard to distance yourself as a boxing fan, but I don't think Mayweather was that well known outside boxing. I think a Heavyweight fight might connect with more people, and when you consider how many countries the Klitchskos broadcast to already it could well be bigger internationally. Wouldn't argue too hard either way though. To an extent it depends on how you define bigger - money, total viewers, press, reach in terms of number of countries broadcast to etc. I guess I wouldn't see the Ibragimov unification as a massive fight, and this isn't so much different, so maybe I do think the Mayweather-Hatton fight was bigger.
