“If the rematch is not carried out, at some point it will, because it has to. But if I get a world championship fight at super bantamweight, no doubt I will take it. I’m training to be in rhythm and to keep fit.” said Montiel from the gym Kochul.

“With a precise punch nothing can be done, but I have a thorn and if I get the chance, things will be different. I hope it happens, and my congratulations to Nonito Donaire because he made a great fight, but I know I could have done a magnificent fight.” He thought.

“I am a fighter who is not beaten, I’m careful, I’m always in the gym practicing the sport and I was born for this. Like I said, I am boxing people and I think I’m still in my prime.” Stressed.

Montiel might still have some left in the tank, but not enough to beat Donaire.

I'd watch, First one ended way too early, Montiel got caught with a perfect shot!.
(Wouldn't mind seeing a couple more rounds, K.O. won't happen again)

90% chance of a repeat but Montiel is too dangerous to deny his own puncher's chance.

After all, there is IMO a 90% chance of Hasegawa winning a rematch with Montiel...but there's still that chance he gets KTFO again.

Donaire is too good and too powerful for Montiel. It was obvious the KO was going to happen, Donaire was landing power shots at will and Montiel had nothing for Donaire except some decent jabs and rights.

    Completely uncompetitive.

I'm sorry Montiel.. but Donaire will knock you and everyone else out in the division (again).. but your bravery and heart is great for boxing

    Good rematch!

First fight was fairly even til the KO and let's face it a KO the other way was also a good possibility!

Well history might repeat itself if he goes out gunz blazin again, but hell... I don't see him outboxing Donaire but I fancy that he can manage to stay in there a lil longer than last time if he's careful.

Well, there's no way Montiel gets lit up as early and as spectacularly as the first time, he's way too smart a fighter for that to happen again. So I wouldn't mind seeing it again. :good

If Montiel wins it certainly wouldn't be the first time a great fighter wins a rematch after getting destroyed the first time out. That's what great fighters do.
