Has Haye got wee man syndrome

Discussion in 'British Boxing Forum' started by Robert, May 10, 2011.

  1. He was a weight drainer, he always came in at fight night at CW about a stone over the limit, much the same as Haye in fact. Then again that's what the CW division is all about, natural heavies taking on light heavies.

?? He typically came in a couple of pounds under the limit, whether it was 190 or 200. Where's the evidence of this extra stone? Never heard that. Hell, he was considered a small cruiser.

However, Hayve is a pretty average sized heavy and was certainly weight-drained for cruiser. Sickening vs Maccarinelli.

They both look pretty dehydrated and hungry here to me and are both bang on the limit. 90.4kg's and 90.6kgs. I think it's telling that when Mormeck went up to heavy he went straight up to 98 kgs and has stayed there.

Ok, so you don't know that as fact? That's how your post read. I've had to Boxrec this, but he was 2 pounds under vs Bell a little over a year earlier. Mormeck, I would argue, was a natural cruiser.

And as for the pic, Haye looks proper scrawny (for a proper cut bloke) at that weight. Mormeck looks ok.

I read your post properly. What part do you think I misunderstood?

The difference in quality between Mormeck and all the guys you mention is minimal.

Chambers has never done anything, so he's out. Peter's best night vs Mormeck I'd go with the Frenchman every time. I do think Mormeck is a league above Byrd, but I understand why you might disagree.

Seriously, you think Chambers even vaguely compares?

sorry, just re-read all of that. I misunderstood.

;Great' was a strong word. But to be the best in your weight division, worldwide, is a feat that very, very few achieve. don't underestimate what Haye has done in is career.

WK is a really good heavy champ. He's not in the league of Lewis, but the lion aside I'd argue he would beat any champ since prime Tyson.

just dont think haye will be able to with stand the wieght of Klits punches he must be the biggest puncher Haye has fought when Haye fought Valuev he just boxed in and out and barely threw double figures a round if he tries that with Klit then he will just get Jabbed all night long if he tries to get inside and fight Klit will just grab him just think Klit will stop him
