Haye's chin is ok, but it is his weakness. However, you have to look at the KDs. They always look bad because of his ridculous chicken leg collapse. He's taken some decent punches at heavy (I won't deny that the Barrett kd was genuine - neither does Haye). Mormeck kd was due to a style that he hates, which is short, head first fighters charging in at him.

but let's be clear: Haye now ain't the fighter who got kd-ed by Mock and beaten by Thompson, just as WK is no longer the fighter who went through that horrendous little run of Sanders to Peter 1. Both chins are ok.

so you came to this conclusion based on his historic fights with

38 year old john ruiz? who had 3 wins in 5 YEARS?
3 wins is pretty good i guess if they werent against fighters with a combined 36 losses

I think this fight will be boring with both fighters overly cautious but would be very very happy to be wrong. You dont explain your reasoning i only see Haye winning via KO very early with Wlad getting caught cold.

p.s. the person trying to embarass you by bringing up the other post is a grade A ****

all that and it was the sanders fight i dont feel he can cope with haye yano i could probaly be wrong but its just my gut feeling that haye is gunna stay out of rage bit of ''running'' first 5 rounds will be really boring and haye will start throwing afew bombs after that , just my opinion :)

I dont deny both fighters have improved, but in my estimation, neither has an okay chin, that said, Haye has a weaker chin than Wlad imo. Wlad has been stopped on his feet most of the time, Haye was on rubber legs against Mock.

I say Wlad marginally takes a better shot, and has more power, but I do agree, that his heart is as much as weakness as his chin, talking about Wlad.

Wlad is too big, too strong, too good of a puncher, to allow Haye to really present a legit challenge. I think he has a punchers chance but that's about it.

Haye falls badly - cos he does just fall badly. He's been hit a lot harder than Mock could ever possibly muster since then. Remember as an am he was ko-ed by a nobody almost half his weight, but he took decent shots from harder punchers afterwards. I really think that's like saying the Puritty fight is relevant. I just don't think they are.

I agree that WK has a slightly better chin, but I do think that Haye's fluidity, reflexes and speend mean he's more likely to land. Frnkly, these are two immensely skilled fighters, with some similar attributes/deficiencies (power, determination/chin) and some different (Haye's reflexes and speed vs WK's accuracy).

I think Haye's the marginally more talented and has more strings to his bow. But the intrigue is why this is a superb fight. Anyone who says that one definitely beats the other has no respect for one excellent champion.

I agree with everything said here - yes im a Haye fan, always have been, but he's in deep water here!!! The heart concern of Wlad is not an issue in this one - both men are up for this. Im thinking Haye has to spark Wlad for him to stop coming back at him (as robotic as I find him) but behind that lethal jab, i've no idea, even with Haye's speed how he's going to do it.

Im rooting for Haye, i'd love him to be spectacular!, but got my sensible head on tonight and can't see how he's going to do it. But then again I don't need to - as long as he knows eh???? :bbb

Of all fighters, HAYE, an inactive power puncher with questionable stamina, is going to be the first to outbox Wlad and win a UD?

I'm going to put £200 on a Haye UD @ 1/9. Hayes speed is going to show in this fight, he will pick his shots and run, winning him the fight on points!

I think Haye will have to take chances to land personally, so even though as you say, his fluidity, reflexes and speed could present major problems, he will have to close the killzone to utilize those assets, and closing the range on a fighter who has a better manipulation of range, and never gives up his advantages, is going to be his biggest problem.

Haye has the tools to hurt Wlad, but its whether he gets knocked out before he's able to implement them(get inside), whether he pays for trying to implement when he takes those chances. Haye has to lead off against Wlad, he can forget counter punching, that aint gonna work here, Wlad will control and dictate distance, keep it long, and not fall into mid range to allow him counter punching opportunity's imo.

Haye is more diverse, agree with that, but I think Wlads one dimension, is a lot more effective, than Haye's overall ability, simply because he uses what he has to the fullest, he's more disciplined.
