Anyone else got a feeling Haye's gonna get knocked out early?

I had the same feeling about Enzo vs Haye in their unification fight, I put money on a Haye knockout within 4 rounds and my little premonition paid off.

I've got the same feeling about this one, I think Wlad will finish Haye within 5 - 6 rounds.

    anyone else?

Maccarinelli was never, not even close to being, a world class fighter. It could end early, but Haye-Macca was a pretty bloody obvious mismatch from day one.

Maybe Wlad wins early, but that will be because an opportunity happens to have presented itself in, say, round 4 rather than 11. Haye was always going to stop Maccarinelli early. Nice guy, poor fighter to be recognised as a world champ.

Early KO? Its possible but I think both men will be cautious initially. Both know that that other guy can hurt them and will play it cagey, the advantage that Wlad is likely to have is that while the fight is like that he'll be softening Haye up with his jab.

Depends what you call "early" I suppose, a fifth or sixth round KO isn't really that early in a 12 round fight.

I agree that this will be a very cagey affair early rounds. There is still the possibility of it ending early though I think.

Wlad will be thrusting that jab out all night. Haye's weakness is his chin or more specifically a temple shot. If he gets buzzed even grazingly by a Wlad jab that big right will finish him off. It nearly happened to Eddie Chambers early on and it could certainly happen to Haye.

I don't think so. Haye will be too busy keeping out of the way and taking Wlad's jab away for Wlad to measure his big right hand and he's not too liberal with the old left hook at the best of times. I don't think Haye will put himself in a position to be sparked either despite the big talk.

Depends what gameplan Haye comes with.

If he tries to fight Wlad like he did Valuev, then I don't think he'll get knocked out early, but he'll either lose on points or late KO.

If he comes for an early KO, then there's a good chance that Wlad will spark him in the first few rounds.

I know where you are coming from, and you could be right. But I reckon Vlad wins this one after a long and tedious fight. If Haye fought as though consumed by the fear of being hit on the whiskers by Valuev, then he surely will show a similar emotion against Klit. He can't stand and trade, because he would get starched imho. Klit is rather more than Mock, Mormeck, or Thompson, let alone washed up John Ruiz. So expect more of Haye running round the ring doing sod all for round after round while Klit ambles after him. Except I think Klit is good enough to cut him off and nail him at some point, and then we'll see if Haye is for real or whether we have all been rather taken in by an Adam Booth inspired con-trick. Many have been persuaded already, but I am not one of them. Klit has improved massively since Manny had his input and is hard to hit. Haye could get lucky, but I would be very surprised. The bookies are not often wrong. Klit wins, but not as fast as you are saying. Maybe round eight onwards.

I've paid to go and I still think theres every chance of this fight being a stinker.

If the early going consists of Wlad controling the centre of the ring, catching Haye with the odd jab while Haye circles and then leaning on him in the clinches then Wlad won't want to push the action for an early knockout. He'll be happy how the fight is going and rarely commits to going for the KO until his opponent is throughily tired and discouraged.

haye will get embarrassed. he is the fraud. ruiz/valuev/barrett/audley -------- WLADIMIR KLITSCHKO, quite a big jump in class. a solid jab will trouble haye and have him on shaky legs. this could be embarrassing

just dont think haye will be able to with stand the wieght of Klits punches he must be the biggest puncher Haye has fought when Haye fought Valuev he just boxed in and out and barely threw double figures a round if he tries that with Klit then he will just get Jabbed all night long if he tries to get inside and fight Klit will just grab him just think Klit will stop him

Vlad's jab will hurt Haye, but his left hook and right hand will knock him out. If Haye tries to fight Vlad he will get knocked out early, but if he runs he will get knocked out in the mid to late rounds. When Haye feels Vlad's power, he will get scared...........................One punch for Vlad and it will be over..........

If Wlad lands a jab, right hand or hook clean, his power is unreal. Its usually about how long he takes to find his range and timing. Its also about how quickly Wlads mind opens up and allows him to let his hands go. Usually with Steward shouting at him in the corner :)

I was not impressed by Hayes in and out ability versus Harrison. Its put my faith in him versus Wlad in serious doubt. Wlad isn't going to be the one struggling with height or reach and he has footspeed and hand speed. Haye needs to draw Wlad forward so Wlad can cover the distance on Hayes behalf rather than Haye have to cover the distance then cover the distance again to get out for defensive reasons.

Who was the last person Wlad stopped early? Ray Austin?

I don't think so. Haye will be cautious early.

I think Haye will get clipped with something average and fall over. Wlad always let's something go in the 2nd. I imagine nothing will be thrown in the first, Haye gets clobbered in the 2nd and it's over.
