Patterson wide UD, perhaps even a late stoppage. Just a different class of fighter. Qwawi would have his moments though and make it tough for him.
I think Qawi would have stopped him after getting tagged himself. The difference is that Qawi could take Patterson's punches for longer than Patterson could take his. Yet if they fought a sufficient number of times , maybe Patterson could have beaten him in the minority of cases . Patterson will not have young Evander's size , punch resistance , nor his punching power , and after watching Holyfield- Qawi #1 I doubt if Holyfield deserved to win there , nothing bad with scoring a draw.
Patterson is far more skilled, faster, more power, can punc and box. Big difference to Qwawi who was the smaller fighter too. And yeah, PAtterson was in a different class. He was able to outclass an atg like Archie Moore ffs.
Old? He would be lhw champion for years after that. Without losing. Yeah, he was old but still close enough to his prime and an atg fighter. And the number one hw at the time. Who did Qwawi beat who was anywhere near that class? And in that fashion?
yes i agree with you, Patterson would deal with Qawi very easily. Patterson beat the likes of Bonavena & Chuvalo who was twice the brawler that Braxton was, Patterson was a fantastic boxer/puncher who would have knocked out Dwight.
