They would have already have negotiated for the second fight if not for that stupid OSDT demand.

I mean... Why in the world would you ask for that king of test when you are bigger, and one of the best counter puncher in the world against a brawler.

Team Pacquiao never agree'd to OST in the second negotiations so that pretty much killed it right then and there, and that was Top Ranks plan, so criticism could go back to Floyd, since they obviously ducked Floyd the first time around. Why do you think the rushed and fought Clottley like he was a big name and anyone was clamoring for that fight.

Great interview BTW we got the humble Floyd that everyone loved.

I agree. But we're talking about a guy who haven't finished high school, and entered the sport to feed his family because of poverty.

Pacman have few fights left in him to even contemplate buying his contract out. He is already extremely rich in the Philippines.

Imagine if he takes home $20M net in his latest fight, that's PHP 860,000,000 Million. Plus endorsements...

In fact he is already planning a housing project for the poor when he gets home.

Money is indeed not everything. :good

    Facts and details my boy.

Floyd: "There were no second negotiation."

    Get it straight next time.

When he said there were no negotiations, he means they brought things to the table that they knew themselves would not even be humoured. Floyd says after the Mosley fight, no cutoff. Then Bob Arum comes to Floyd and says, "Okay, we'll agree to the 14-day cutoff." That's not negotiating.

It's true, it's a clear rags to riches scenario. I wouldn't criticize him for not buying himself out, but it really hurts his legacy. He can have big money fights and big legacy fights at the same time.

not sure why people don't understand this.....an offer isn't a negotiation....and if it's a b/s offer, there will be no negotiation

In part 2, he said its too late for Pac because he is no longer fighting no matter what.

Unless of course you are a security guard or a girl, he could do the usual cheek poking.

It's a good interview, a few more questions need clarity. I do however disagree with his comments on PAC making weight.

Because the physicality of the two is irrelevant to the fact that Floyd wants to ensure who he gets in the ring with is clean. Floyd being 'bigger' has nothing to do with whether or not Pacquiao may or may not be doing something illegal.

Really, is that too much to ask? I'm amazed at the amount of criticism he's received for this in our society which was so 'anti-steroid' during the Balco scandal.
