I think Toney could beat post-prison Tyson. I'd be surprised if Toney lost to post bite-fight or Douglas Tyson. (Toney of the Holy fight.)

Problem is that we know Charles and Moore have took apart some great punchers.

But I've never seen Tyson break down a tough minded slickster like them save his ugly win over gate keeper Tillis very early in his career, hardly a proper guage. Mathis Jr, Tubbs, and Biggs were good boxers but again, not much to work with.

  4. yes, toney cold beat post prison tyson, but i am talking about prime tyson

Tyson from 1990 to 96 is extremely underrated by some people and Heavyweight James Toney is extremely overrated by some people :-(

  6. tyson was not the same fighter since 1989 bruno 1

the last great tyson was in 1988 against spinks, when he said bye rooney then we said bye prime tyson

Assuming the fighters mentioned are in their prime... Tyson destroys every LHW that ever lived.

I can't see any light heavy beating Tyson, but I'd bet my money on a prime Billy Conn lasting more than 7 rounds and frustrating Tyson. Other than Conn, prime versions of Archie Moore and Ezzard Charles could give Tyson a battle but they'd still lose.

Perhaps some hard puncher like Berlenbach could get Mike into his "passive-going-through-the-motion"-mode and win a close decision. But that´d be a total freak accident. Tyson probably steamroles any lhw ever. Hm, perhaps Langford lasts a while if you count him as a lhw.

you know what I forgot about Conn, how I don't know, but Billy Conn is easily one of the best light heavies that has ever lived h2h, food for thought
