I would wait for my contract to be up with Gary Shaw (few months remaining) sign with top rank for a 2 million signing bonus and fight Manny Pacquiao for 6 million.

No and this is where HBO screwed up.

You give huge gurantees to fighters win/lose on their next fights and they wont fight a big name.

This is why I can't blame Bradley. Boxing is business. And the business model used to be a ladder where boxers earn their way at the top, they gain experience and fame and with that their purse gets bigger.

but when you have guys still at the bottom of the ladder but were already getting superstar level paychecks, these guys won't have anymore incentives to climb their way to the top. If i were Bradley and had been given free $1.5M courtesy of some HBO executive, i would use it on an easy fight. Hell no, i would not risk my health and my record fighting Amir Khan. Maybe next time

    THIS..

the more Tim Bradley fights, the more he looks bad depending on who he fights.

Bradley needs to get more in the news. He needs to do everything to get publicity.

Nobody knows who he is. He's GOT to promote himself unfortunately. He can't sit there and let his zero do the talking.

Tim, you should book a 700 dollar ticket to the philippines. Show up to Manny's office and DEMAND a fight!!:twisted::hi::deal

Yes why not? Two birds in one stone . . . he's going to have money and he'll be able to unify. . . if he is confident of beating Khan unfortunately it doesn't seem so.

This is as old as the Bradley-Alexander fight and had been talked about here in detail months ago.

HBO thought they had the next boxing superstars in Bradley and Alexander and in order to secure their fight, they were given $1.5M guaranteed purse respectively for their next fights. Alexander though he lost the fight will get a $1.5M purse as well on his next fight

No, if i were Bradley, i would use that purse to fight a tomato. Then if Khan is still available, i'll try another round of negotiation and collect my next million dollar pay, or maybe fight pac

I'd hold out for a possible fight with Pac. Pac >> Khan.

Top Rank has stated Bradley as a possible opponent for Pac in November. I don't blame Bradley for passing on Khan to fight Pac. He has to go for that big money and possible win. Pac is far above Khan.

    CTRL + F Bradley

I have never seen $1.5 reported anywhere. $1.2 is the quoted number.

I don't think that HBO will allow that. HBO still need to approve if the opponent will sell or not. It's their money on the line.

he's got a contract for it, HBO can't say no. Bradley earned that purse by virtue of him signing up to fight Alexander months ago. HBO made a bad deal in perspective, but when the contract was still being signed, HBO thought they were doing the right thing, like they were signing up the next Sugar Ray or something
