Disregard. Looks like Bob has come back with a revised offer that Marquez has accepted. Up to Golden Boy if they want to match it, according to Marquez' contract.

Which they cant/ wont because saul alvarez was gbp's go to for jmm. Cant make 144, so it looks like pac v jmm is as good as done. Unkess marquez asks for extra's at the last minute :patsch

Was a much better fight in 2008 when marquez begged for a third, but manny went with david diaz.

Completely agree. Pacquiao ducked him in a big way around then.

Its a good fight considering whats out there other than Mayweather IMO.
The lower the agreed weight the better for Marquez too.

outside of mayweather this is still the best fight for manny. i dont think marquez is washed up at all. weight wont matter that much both guys will weigh around the same fight night

I think effectiveness at the weight is the issue.

marquez weighed 148 for katsidis, pacquiao dosent put on much after weigh ins so it should be fine imo.
    looking forward to it

i am too but Marquez looked sluggish at the higher weight
against Floyd who had a 18 months retirement after Hatton
so was rusty.but styles make fights so i guess this could be
    good fight.

I think everyone is underestimating Marquez here & what problems his style causes Pac. Apart from Floyd, this is the next best fight out there for Pac. Martinez is simply too big for him & does anyone seriously think Bradley's going to be any threat to Pac. Not me.

i see no reason this fight cant be fought at the 140lb limit. pac is certainly capable of making that weight. in my view it would make for a more competitive fight.

pac will enter the ring around 147- 149 regardless of weather the fight was at 135, 140 or 147. marquez will do the same
