Muhammad Ali in Manila (or Madison Sq Gd, for that matter) was just as good a puncher as Buster Douglas or Evander Holyfield.
And Frazier took even more sustained punishment than Tyson.
That's the fact of the matter.

But Foreman's strength and power and aggression ruined him - as it would Tyson.

That doesnt really matter. He was a 185 pound heavyweight and was never known as a puncher.

Forget about the 76 Frazier, but you dont think the 230 pound well conditioned Douglas would have a shot against the Frazier that fought Foreman in 1973?

  4. :patsch:rofl:rofl:rofl:lol: frazier by ****ing tko or ud, frazier was not tyson, he had much better stamina and he was stronger late, buster douglas did not hit harder than ali75, and ali was ali, douglas was....

  5. comparing berbick or pinklon thommas with foreman is the dumbest thing that i listened ever
i think that foreman would ko berbick and thommas in the same night like the fight-show foreman vs 5 men.

    No.
    A SLIM chance maybe.

Douglas wasn't a beast like Foreman, and judging from Frazier's subsequent showings against Bugner, Ali and Quarry, Smokin' Joe was still too good to lose to someone like Douglas.

Interesting. Douglas always presents a difficult style for Tyson but not for Fraizer. :think

Lots of guys present a difficult style for Frazier. Maybe Douglas does - I didn't say he didn't.
But Frazier was in the habit of winning difficult fights.
    Therein lies the difference.

There's no mystery, lefthook - the proof is in the pudding.

Ali was never,at any point in his career,as good a puncher as Holyfield was.Perhaps a slight edge in hand speed for Ali,but even that is debatable,as Holyfield had lightning-quick hands in his prime.Ali could never deliver a hook, uppercut or even a straight right with the precision and accuracy of Holyfield.

    And that's not a fact,it's an opinion.

Ali stopped guys like Foreman, Lyle, Bonavena, Ellis, Quarry, Folley.
He was just as effective, just as likely to score a KO or score knockdowns as Holyfield was. He busted people up quite bad too.
Going ten rounds with Ali is at least as punishing as ten with Holyfield.

Tough one. Prime Foreman was indeed a scary dude, very imposing would not fear
Tyson at all. Great staredown. Although Tyson had far more speed and technique, I
believe George would use his physical advantages and finish with a huge right hand
after taking some hellish body shots Foreman KO 3
