Bog It isn't that Tim and Nik are doing it half baked or anyone for that matter it is just there best sometimes doeesn't live up to what Kostya can do and he can get annoyed when others even trying as hard as they can are not up to his very high standards. Jason Arena is a good eg he was training with kostya when kostya was still fighting went to the AIS with him and Jason ended up walking out the expectations placed on him were just too much to bear and above what he was able to achieve even when going 110%
That's why it's a catch-22 for him, they might be giving 110% yet he can see how it falls short, but if he softens his approach then he is conviced they will fall short. A bit like wise old Yoda said "Do or do not, there is no try".
Traning in mother Russia all those years would have made Kostya a tough nut. And running in the snow for all those years and killing his family of baby chickens would have messed him up! We can only imagine how high his standards must be!
Roy Jones Jnr: “ I started having to work to keep my balance, and I wasn't liking it at all. So the last 4 years I have been looking for someone to reverse the effects that the punches have had on me.” Scary stuff, and the kind of body messages that shouldn't be ignored by Roy or the medics who decide whether he is fit to fight or not.
Roy may as well start looking for some magic beans, seriously if that sort of thing was reversable then we'd see many more very long term careers, wouldn't we? As I said earlier though it's his choice if he can pass fitness reqs, but he's not winning any new fans and making the rest of us wince with discomfort/disappointment
he has a nice cushy job waiting at HBO that pays well with zero risk and ring side seats to every fight... he should go to that and enjoy himself. You can tell he loves commentating and talking boxing
Sadly it is his choice BOG. But he's not making good ones, and more sadly it seems he's continuing because he's done all his dough.
