who cares what fans support who? Fans don't win fights. I'm sure Haye would care about Wladimir's fanbase if Haye was undisputed heavyweight champion, i'm sure Haye would be crying.
It's true. I think it is important to remember that part of our history, and the close ties we have with the UK. It's also nice to thrash England in the Commonwealth games. However, we should be a republic by rights now. However an arch-conservative monarchist twat called John Howard was the one who finally agreed to have a referendum on that. But he rigged it so there was no way that the republic option could get up. Basically he arranged it so that instead of a "Yes/No" should we become a republic, it became "Vote for the option you want" and he proposed heaps of different models of being a republic. Whilst well less than 50% of people voted to stay as part of the monarchy, the 'monarchy' vote was higher than any of the votes that each individual republic option recieved. Since the idea was so neatly sabotaged, it will probably be a generation before it comes up again.
Wlad's temperament will either knock Haye out, or be his undoing, cause if he has to suck it up, show that championship grit to come through a crisis, I'm not sure he has the heart to do that, but on the other hand, his temperament is where he gets his professionalism from, to where he doesn't make mistakes or give up his advantages, and uses what he's got to the fullest, which spells danger for Haye.
You're probably right in the generation thing, but if it's due to come it'll come. I was just having a bit of a tease :hey As to the fan thing, I do seem to detect something of a swing in peoples opinions. Looking at the comments on a few British newspapers there seem to be more than a few Brits who're saying very negative things about Haye and expressing a strong desire to see him knocked out. There's no doubt that some peeps will have seen Wlad for the first time and maybe been impressed by his charm and demeanour and maybe even drawn a comparison between him and some older time fighters who maintained a level of class and manners (Sir Henry Cooper, for example) and were hugely admired for being gentlemen. It may also be as Wlad says too, Haye is actually boring!! He repeatedly says the same things, over and over, rarely varying it and even seems to lack the ability to articulate it in an interesting way.
Well it's a consideration, but he surely showed heart in the first match with Sam Peters, so maybe we can assume that if/when a crisis point occurs he'll have the dedication and professionalism to get himself out of a tight spot.
The people here at work have been talking about him, too. Their perception of the Klitschkos have been built around what they've heard in Haye interviews and BBC reports (radio mainly). They thought they were some sort of dull, mutes who don't speak a word of English. But after seeing and listening to him properly for the first time, they've taken a liking to him. Especially the females. It's quite funny what just one interview can do.
Possibly, but even though he came through that, I always think back to the look on his face when he went back to his corner, makes you think what would of happened had Peter been able to sustain that for another round or two. It seemed to me that Wlad barely got through that mentality.
Agreed, but I do feel that it was a good learning experience at that stage for him. After the lousy '03 and '04 with Sanders and Brewster and the poor showing against Williamson it was a real acid test and Wlad probably had to make a severe gut check and decide mentally if he was going to fold or continue. I'm assuming that he's grown mentally and physically since then. If that's the case then it possible that if he does get tagged and wobbled, or even dropped (and isn't out cold), then mentally he may well prove to be a lot more resilient.
That's plausible, he will need to of aswell, cause Haye already has the power to hurt him, what Wlad cant afford, is for Haye to hurt him and convince him he cant continue, to the point where he quits on himself mentally, cause that would give Haye even more opportunity's to win. I wouldn't be so concerned about Wlad's chin, Haye's is weaker imo, and he Wlad hits harder, as I say, what I would worry about, is whether Wlad capitulates if he does get hit and hurt, cause if he does get hurt, and can suck it up, it will send a message to Haye, and Wlad will probably go on to win the fight from that position after Haye has shot his bolt early.
This message is hidden because shaunster101 is on your ignore list. You're just a typical little internet *****. I don't take anyones personality 100 percent true on the net though... Real life has little to do with online forums. You can act tough, then when a bigger guys pulls you up in real life, you run away. :good
Just re-read what I'd posted and I've come to the conclusion that "mentally" is my use word of the day...lol I do suspect that in the ring a lot of this match is going to be a mental thing. How does Haye cope mentally if he gets hit repeatedly by Wlads jabs in the first couple of round. How does Wlad cope if he's not landing the jab. What'll go through Hayes mind if he lands a good shot on Wlad and he doesn't wobble etc. However it goes it's gonna be a fun match to watch in terms of drama, hopefully it'll be so in terms of in-ring action as well :happy
:good Yep...Haye has been bad mouthing them for so long, now they get to see the real champ and like him. People are generally stupid lol Maybe 50 percent of the population are smart, a lot of people are thick as bricks and believe anything the media says. Many people actually believe Haye is the real champ lol and the klitschko's have been fighting nobodies and avoiding people. Which is ****ing annoying!!!! Britain is weird, they only give a **** about boxing if there is a British champion. I wish people would just admit, you scroll though football forums or whatever and lots of people believe exactly what Haye says. People are very much controlled by the media, easily . I didnt used to believe this, but now I do. A lot of people are seriously stupid. poor human race.
Look at this **** will you - I haven't written anything to him in about 3 pages yet he keeps writing that he's ignoring me, then goes on to insult me.
