True. We could go on forever with stuff like that though. Imagine the 70's Muhammad Ali's ring generalship put together with his 60's version's speed !

Good question...Comeback Foreman was much more patient, set up his punches, and used more ring guile than the young Foreman who just winged meathooks. It would just be a matter of time before an elite fighter would use Foreman's wild, uncouth style against him like Ali did. Young Foreman was really not very skilled at all...mostly a free swinging powerhouse. And older Foreman was also mentally stronger than the younger version of himself.

I'll take the Big George that fought Qawi over the version that fought Frazier.

it is like ali 74 vs clay64... ali74 had experience , even himself said that he was better in 1974 than he was in 1964, it is simply a joke. the real ali had the best footwork ever, the version of ali in the 70s had a big mouth,experience ,stamina and chin.

He fought Frazier, Norton, Lyle and Ali as a prospect? I thought he fought them as a contender, champion and ex-champion.

Before his title challenge, he fought very faded versions of Chuvalo and Peralta and that was it.... unless you count Boone Kirkman. He was craftily brought along by good management. And kudos to them, they produced a champion.
