    Thoughts on this one?

Obviously Marquez looked a bit out of his depth at 126, and despite having some success against Lopez was ultimately overpowered and stopped.

He's clearly pretty close to the end of his career, but has a textbook technique and murderous power.

Nishioka is a solid operator, and proved far too good for our man Rendall last year.

    Thoughts?

Marquez isn't as done as a lot of people think, in my opinion. He is past his absolute best but too many of the claims he is done are based around the JuanMa fight. Considering he had an injury for that one, I thought he put in a terrific performance. The difference between a great fighter and a good one, despite the difference in age, will show up here.

One thing I've liked seeing in the past couple of years, is seeing how older fighters adjust their style to prolong their careers. I actually see Rafa going the same way JMMarquez has done. Marquez was considered past his peak after the first Diaz fight and that's true, he was past his physical peak, but he's altered his style and physical tools to still be an elite fighter a few years on. I think we'll see a similar transformation in Rafael too.

    Marquez TKO Nishioka.

Good fight, want Marquez to win but Nishioka is fresher, i definitely think it will be 50/50 for the first 8 rounds.

Big Rafa fan but I don't think this fight is good for him. Someone as quick and explosive as Nishioka can cause him trouble even with Rafa moving back to super-bantam.

I would have much preferred the Jhonny Gonzalez fight that was being mentioned but I will never count Rafa out, so WAR RAFA!! :bbb:happy

Has there been talk of where the fight will be?

Erm, I think Nishioka is an exception to that. Gonzalez, Hernandez, Garcia...:hey
