in the sense that opponents are just looking to cash in but not really looking forward to get in the ring with him?

i mean DLH was sought after by everyone up to 2 divisions lower and higher too, but everybody still made an effort to K him TFO.

I think tyson was bigger, besides the hype he was a absolute beast, ko machine and had a huge aura of invincibility.

IMO Iron Mike at least handed out merciful early round ko's.....Pac seem to be handing out career-ending beatdowns on the regular.

Yes , in terms of the excitement he brings, his aura , he's the closest thing. He'll never be as big as iron mike was, nor will anyone else for that matter.

Tyson was bigger, had a menacing aura and record during his peak, plus he's a heavyweight so there was a feeling that ANY man in the world, however big or strong he was, can get sparked out by Iron Mike.

Manny's great, but a 6'5, 250 pound dude woudnt get too intimidated by him.

He is more like SRR or Ali. It seems every 30-40 years a fighter comes that has the "it" factor and just rises above the rest of his peers. He fits into the timing and his resume is pretty close to top 5 atg at this second, top ten without question if he never fought again.

what about leonard and duran at this point I rate both of them over pac.
Also guys like whitaker, hagler, chavez, hearns, roy jones jr have had great careers. if you said pac is top 5 since the 60's or something it makes sense but all time is too high at this point.

That's because he's fighting guys on their last legs, or on their way out.

Pacman surpassed Tyson in terms of achievements a long time ago. Iron mike surpasses Pac in all-round baddassery though. I dread to think what he would have done if anyone offered to touch gloves even once before the 12th round.

Arum/Pac are the second coming of Tyson/King but not for the reasons you mentioned. Just as King shielded Tyson, so has Arum. It is Old Names & Tomato Cans II.

The difference is Tyson can't collect worthless titles across weight divisions. He was at the HW division. I believe Tyson was the greatest little man ever. Pac has nothing on Tyson as far as weight, height and reach mismatch. Tyson fought at 205-215 in his prime against much larger guys almost every fight.
