There is a lot of uncertainty in the career of Antonio Margarito at the moment. The former champion from Tijuana recently saw a rematch with Miguel Cotto first be postponed and later fall apart completely after he found out a recent broken orbital bone would prevent him from preparing for the Puerto Rican adequately.

Margarito suffered the injury in his last fight, a punishing twelve-round loss to Manny Pacquiao last November, as he took several flush, piercing blows from the dynamic Filipino southpaw. Margarito had been eyeing a comeback against Cotto, whom he defeated via 11th round TKO in July of 2008, but now has to accept the reality that his career is hanging in the balance as he attempts to determine just how severe this situation is.

no one is to blame. Maybe his corner should have stopped the fight earlier, but really these things happen. An injury at the wrong place can end a career. I would think this type of injury would heal up completely.

Maragarito was advised by his friends and former team members to retire or at the very least take time to recover from the injuries before fighting again.

Also I just noticed that the ref looks so listless throughout the fight even though so much leather is being landed...

I definitely would put some blame on Robert Garcia. A trainers ultimate job is to protect his fighter. Even from himself.
