Just curious. I had it overwhelmingly in Haye's favour. I don't score aggression unless the round is dead even and both fighters landed the same amount of punches. For me, Valuev hitting air is not good enough to win rounds. I had it 117-11 for Haye, with valuev winning a couple of the middle rounds and one of the later ones. Can't remember which exactly. Judges had it: 114-114 116-112 116-112
I watched it in a pub, havn't watched it since. The majority in the pub thought Haye had clearly won, started chanting his name, etc. I was a little less confident that he had pulled it off...especially because it was in Germany. I havn't got a scorecard for that reason anyway.
Can't really remember the score but I thought Valuev just nicked It with Valuev pressing more albeit missing a lot I thought the judges would favour him. I haven't watch the fight since for obvious reasons (I'm not in to sadism for starters).
115-113 Haye. Haye did little. Valuev did nothing. He landed like one right hand the whole fight. The few power shots landed where from Haye. And he made Valuev look like a slow and ponderous fool. Some rounds Haye literally avoided punches the whole round and Valuev missed. How do you score that ****? Wow. Boring fight.
I gave the fight to Haye simply because of the last round. It was virtually impossible to score the preceding 11 rounds because Haye was running and throwing Jabs at Valuev's chest the whole time. Probably the most atrocious and disgraceful "Championship" fight I have ever seen and the Harrison fight was not much better.
You can go **** yourself if you think I'm rewatching that. I will say that at most Valuev only won like 2 rounds. Anyone sho says he should've won or that it was a close fight is kidding themselves. Haye did little, Valuev did nothing. You HAVE to give most of the rounds to Haye if he is still scoring despite having a shamefully low workrate but he did have a hand problem. Haye won wide and clear and I have no interest in his style or his recent opponents. I will give him props for facing Wlad despite what strategy he uses in the ring.
I scored it to Valuev, and was a big Haye fan at the time. I felt it was just Haye walking into weak enough jabs for most of the fight, landing only a few decent ones inbetween. Haye staggered him, and this is mistaken for hurting him. At that height and weight, if you are knocked off balance you will stagger alot, and if he went down, there is a good chance he would have stayed there. But he recovered INSTANTLY. To me, Valuev got knocked off balance, a big feat for Haye, but never got hurt at all.
My point exactly. Don't mind people on here, many don't know **** about boxing. They score on ineffective punches that don't land on scoring places.
Mixed, his mum is white... I had Haye winning a terribly boring fight. I think I enjoyed Wlad-Iggy more than this one...gawd awful...
