Take the Cotto (146lbs, aged 29) of the 1st 2-3 rounds of the Clottey fight, the guy who dropped Clottey with a jab before suffering a horrendous cut

    vs

Oscar of the Forbes fight (150lbs, aged 35), who outboxed and outfought Forbes to a near shut-out

    Who'd win, and how? :bbb

Well cotto is pretty stationary at times but after the margo beating id expect him to be more cautios with a high volume puncher rather than someone who shells up which would win oscar a few rounds. Dont think either of them would be stopped so logical choice is cotto coming forward and getting a close decision

I don't think it really matters. But hey, yeah, in the spirit of making a clear scenario, yes the fight would be at a 150lbs catchweight.

Erm...at this stage of their careers I still might take de la Hoya to pick up a pretty clear decision. I think Cotto is a similar sort of fighter to Oscar but isn't anywhere near better in the departments they share. It wouldn't surprise me if Cotto won, because I was quite shocked by how Oscar looked in that fight. he really should have knocked Forbes out and for that reason I think this maybe one of the few times Cotto has the advantage in power, but that doesn't really matter because Oscar is iron-chinned.

Oscar didn't look like a corpse against Forbes, so he will probably win but if your taking the zombie version from the Manny fight then I'd pick Cotto by decision. There is no way he even stops Oscar like Manny did. Just doesn't have the activity and sting on his shots like Manny does.

Oscar that took on Whitaker or Carr, versus the Mosley Cotto. Oscar by stoppage. It would probably be his greatest display I feel.

I say Cotto by late stoppage but what a war we would have had....
