These guys talking about Pac fearing mosley power which is why he didnt cut off thering and go at him is foolishness. Pac has always has difficulty fighting people who fight off the backfoot. He did so with cotto, somebody he did not fear. You guys are ridiculous, everyone has weaknesses, this is definitely Pac's.

 

Actually Pea didnt dominate his fight with Chavez, i mean just cause there was an unjust decision people seem to exaggerate.. Chavez won a lot of the early rounds and fight was close for at least half the fight, Whittaker swept a number of rounds towards the end though to unofficially win this. I think i had Whittaker by 3 points, unjust decision yes domination no:nono

And i think Pea clowned to much with Oscar, he made him look bad at times.,, But bottom line is Oscar won more rounds And took this 115-112 IMO and was not as Close as the Marquez=Pac fights... This is why i would give Pac a chance against Whittaker.. Sweat Pea would make manny look foolish alot of the times, but Manny will be on his ass so much he wipes that smirk of Peas face a couple times... Can see good points
for either guy on why they would win this.

Oh yeah everyone talks about how many times Whittaker was robbed.. But no one mentions that he was pretty lucky to get a decision over WIlfredo Rivera in their first fight. Had Rivera by 1 or 2 points..

 

I respect Pea BUT I would much rather see Zab vs Khan...Pac would want to fight @ WW I think and Zab was never very effective up @ 147 imo

 

Judah is a very good boxer, but he doesn't have the mental strength to beat pacquiao. pacquiao will win this, and probably would win quite early with judah being the next fighter to be calling for pacquiao to take tests.

 

pacquiao is a great boxer, even sweet pea would have problems with pacquiao. Pacquiao might seem reckless in there, but he throws so many punches, and every punch hurts. Pacquiao is like henry armstrong.

Actually :nono The press was kind of split, with a little more think ODLH edged it.. I really saw nothing controversial, CLose but clear decision.. OUt of like 20 people i saw the fight with only 2 had Sweat Pea.. And some of them were oscar haters,.. And one of those votes for Sweat Peas was from a black guy I thought Quartey gave him a closer and tougher fight, in which i had Oscar down by one going into the last round.

 

That's the only way he could make it to the final bell. Pea is doing a hype job.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a Pacquiao beat a Whitaker. Not at all.

Aside from the fact that this thread and the quote is was based on have to do with Pacquiao-Judah, not Whitaker-Pacquiao...there's a lot wrong with saying that Pac beats Whitaker.

He may not fear Pea's power but the inverse is also true. If "putting him into a defensive shell and outworking him" was all that beating Pea required he'd have more losses.

Best Pacquiao defeats Best Whitaker. And I have a great deal of respect for Whitaker.

Sweet Pea is not sufficiently larger than Pacquiao (PW = 5' 6", 69" vs Pac = 5' 5.5", 67") to be able to stay out of harm's way for the entire fight. For a reference point, SSM = 5'8"; 71" and PBF = 5'8"; 72". You saw what happened to Mosley and we know Floyd doesn't want the fight.

I mention "Best Pacquiao" here, not the one-handed fighter who lost to Morales. And recall, that was a 7-5 rounds fight. Morales (5'8"; 72") just beat Pacquiao, even when Pac was far from a finished product.

At best, Whitaker likely loses (or draws) in JMM fashion to Pac. If he really decided to open up and trade with Pac and try to score points. If not, then it's probably a more lopsided decision for Pacquiao.

Pacquiao isn't JCC, or other, more-limited fighters Whitaker fought. He's a completely different thing. As much as I respect PW, there's essentially no one at Pac's own size who is capable of beating him at his best. That's why mismatches of size are necessary, to make the fights more competitive.

 

He DOMINATED that fight. Chavez did NOT win a lot of the earlier rounds. Chavez took 1-2, Pea won from the 3rd to the 5th, 6th could have been either or. 7th to the bell was all Pernell...Chavez got tired of following him around eating jabs and counters and slowed down his punching...Pea started opening up more.

There is no exaggeration for this match. 3 point lead. Okie.
