I met Smokin Joe Frazier last night.....

  1. and to let you all know he is in great shape, he looked great, he spoke great and clearly.

He was walking fine with a cane and i hope this ends some of the speculation on here that he wasnt doing to well. He looked miles better than he did on the thrilla in manila documentary.

Also im glad to let you know he still hates Ali me and my uncle told him how much we hate the bloke for what he said about him, his family, bullying, racism and all that and he agreed with us.

It is entirely possible that you and your aunt met some random homeless bum and mistook him for Joe Frazier.Plenty of old, wrinkly, delusional black bums that can be found hanging around on the street corners.

    Speaking of racism:

Is it only the persecution of glass jawed, cherry picking leeches that you object to?

  5. what you on about?? and no it was at a night with joe frazier actually.

I was the MC for the Ring 8 Christmas Party in Decembr and Joe Frazier was sitting right next to me for about 4 hours.

He had a cane but when he got up to talk he told me that he didn't need it as it was only a few steps.

Here is a web site on that party and if you go down to MVI_3470 on the left hand side about 80% down the page, you will see him talking while I helped him with the Mic. In the beginning of his speech, people were making noise and he said, Shhhh, that's because I was doing that all night long and it actually works, at least it did for me.

How exciting for you. Very gutsy to bring up Ali...that's a subject I'd never broach with Ali. But I totally agree with your view of it....I never liked Ali, and much of it is based on his treatment of Joe.

I want to meet Frazier bad. I walked around Philly recently calling his name out in hopes he'd randomly be somewhere. Every time I saw a wrinkly black man my heart stopped.

But his dislike of Ali is nothing to celebrate. Those men defined each other in that ring and they both mean a lot to a lot of people, it would be better for Joe himself if he learned to let go a bit more.

I once read that he said he doesn't hate Ali anymore , that he prays for him , yet he hopes that he has a major part in Ali's current state.
