Barnes, Nevin and Ward are probably our three best medal hopes for the Euros, so add in Conlon(he's going really well) whoever at light DO, Donovan or McDonagh, Hickey, McLoughlin, and O'Neill and we look really good. Sheehans form has dipped but at his beat he can medal too.
Great performances by McCullough also, trashing McGolderick and pushing Makarov so close.

There's a lot to get excited about Matt, I'm particularly enthused by Ward as I'm sure we all are. I hope Eurosport picks these championships up live, as they use to.

Jamie Conlon won last night on a 3rd KO. He had floored King in the 2nd for a 9 count, and then put him down for the full count in the next round. I hope this is the sort of eye catching performance that will alert Sky to the kids talent.

This Murray bill is becoming more and more fascinating with a strong Irish undercard. I'm very tempted to make the trip over to Cardiff. Cardiff is a great city, I was there for the Calzaghe/Kessler fight, and had a most memorable time.

Slappie is there something wrong with your site, I can't access it.

McMonagle hasnt won an international fight in I dont no how many years . He is brutal whereas Turner won a multi nations last year and beat Britains no2 Amin Isa last year aswel as losing to Chinas olympic silver medalist on a double countback the same chap who beat McMonagle a few days later by 20 points . I think its stupid if you have one bad night at the seniors or drop bad decision as Donovan had aginst McDonagh you are gone off the team Its very clear who the better and more experianced international boxers are and I think they should pick the right team regardless of who wins the seniors .

Good point on Turner but I didn't see the McDonagh-Donovan(a classy boxer) contest so I can't comment on that decision but I thought McDonagh was magnificent against DO giving him a head start and then out-punching him down the straight and IMO would have won regardless of the desperate punch that resulted in the low blow. These three have pretty compelling claims to the spot, as I have said I favour Joyce myself.

McDonagh done well to win no doubt , he is a young lad and beat 3 top lads in the seniors but he was very lucky against Donovan as he threw **** all punches in the fight and just stood there with his arms up . Not taking anything away from the lad but I think he should concentrate on the European youths and get more experience for the future as he has serious potential .

Jeff will be selling them next week. I'm sure the other lads will be selling them on facebook too.

I always try to buy directly off lads on smaller cards or if I'm going to see an undercard fighter. Every ticket they sell helps their cause with promoters!
