Marquez to get $10 million rematch if he beats Pacquiao

WOW 10 million dollars, i know its just figures but if you actually think how much 10 million dollars it just makes your wonder how do rich boxers blow there money so fast.

 

You're right, Arum expects Pac to win, which is why this is another bull**** fight in my opinion.

I actually hope JMM whoops his ass because I'd really like to see Pac fight a younger fighter that isn't at his best at 135, Floyd already showed this with JMM, and as much as I hate Floyd I agree with him this time, Pac's fighting his leftovers, as we know FMJ destroyed JMM at welter, who wants to see that again FFS?? :tired

He's also making $5 for every PPV they do after 700k buys, so if this is promoted properly and does well, he could be making close to $10m for the November fight.

 

Yep he sure did, at 125 #'s and 130. There's a solid reason JMM has not moved up to WW. He fought Floyd at WW and how did that go? He's not like Manny, he can't carry his weight up as well, Manny is a freak. All I am saying is this is just a cash out fight, not worthy of the casual fans PPV dollars at all, and I don't think it will be a competitive fight.
Granted with the fued between TR and GBP they have tied many good fights up with their bull**** and there isn't much to look at, but I just don't like this fight.
I hope I'm wrong and it turns out to be dynamite, but I'm not counting on it. I'd actually rather see Judah or Bradley in there with him.
Lets face it JMM is 38, and fighting well out of his proper weight, Manny is still fast at 144, and much more powerful, while JMM has slowed down and I expect him to be slower even yet at 144 bringing little or no more power into the ring, it should be a walk in the park for Pacquiao.:dead

Right so if JMM beats Manny, he gets a rematch for 25% out of the pot, how kind of them :silly

 

I saw yesterday on ESPN Deportes (in spanish) an interview with marquez where he explains the offer and says he is waiting for golden boy´s option. Suposedly they want to offer him a fight with Victor Ortiz for a probable 5 millions (to match up Arum) but he knows that a fight vs Paquiao will make him more money because of the pay per views compared to a fight with Ortiz. I don´t have a link, just watched on cable.

I want Marquez to win, but i believe he ain´t....anyway, he deserves the fight and money based on his performances against Manny and his name. I can bet you that he wont loose without throwing punches like Mosley or Clottey, at least is going to be an exciting fight while it lasts.

 

I honestly hope GBP can match the offer, its better in my opinion for boxing, JMM deserves a payday, fans deserve to see a younger fighter like Bradley in with Pac, and it could still possibly leave open the option for Floyd to come out of his hole and start negotiations with Arum again, which is really the fight we all want to see, that's a super fight beyond superfight and would likely do 2.5 million buys. JMM/Ortiz would probably be a pretty good fight as well.

 

Marquez still has something left in the tank but he is probably 70-80 percent. paq is prime. Even if they foight at 144, the weight shouldn't affect paq.

I see this fight as marquez+650 and paq-800.

That 10 mil rematch offer is a very big "If". I'm predicting Pac via TKO.

 

It's not likely to happen, but **** it, if Ortiz can beat Berto, Morales can nearly beat Maidana, Salido can knock the **** out of Lopez, then Marquez has a chance against Pacquiao. It's easy to say after the fact that people saw those coming but JMM is going to get up for this fight and Pac hasn't had to carefully consider and mitigate the open-for-counter flaws of his own style for a gameplan in years since facing him last. I don't expect JMM to win but he'll give him a hell of a fight, and if anyone besides has a chance of surprising us all against Pac, it's him (floyd and sergio wouldn't really be big surprises.)
