You must have forgotten 3 names lottery. . . out of 3 mosley with bigger name/ cheaper/ Independant at the time. JMM still signed with GBP . . Berto with no name.

 

that fight drew a lot of criticism. many said that it was going to be the mismatch it turned out to be.

 

more probabaly about 33% of the pot since pac commands at least $20M now a days. but pac could be cutting his pay if he loses since he will lose his p4p title and some luster.

also pac deserves each penny of the money he is getting now because of what he did previously and the excitement he generates in his style.

 

Any fight not involving PBF & Martinez is gonna be a mismatch, and you know it. So many were calling for Pac to face a young lion in Berto...lol...you dont think that would have been a mismatch?

 

JMM wanted 5mil, same as he got for PBF. Besides, Mosley was with Top Rank and JMM was GBP, we all knew what the deal with that was.

 

Arum is only making this fight to steal one of GBP's fighters. A few months ago, JMM was asking for too much. Now, he is getting more than what he initially asked for, lol!

 

$10 million after taxes and after everybody on your staff get their cut, is a fraction of the original figure. Still a good amount of money, but not nearly what you'd think.

Marquez is ineffective above 140lbs. We saw this 2 years ago against Floyd. It wasn't a great accomplishment when Floyd beat him and won't be when Pac beats him either. It's another b.s. fight.

Thank God for fighters like Martinez who aren't afraid of a real challenge.

 

Will he be able to get 10 million dollars elsewhere should he beat Manny? NO. The guy's biggest payday to date was 3.2 million vs Floyd. He will come close to tripling that in November and if he wins is gauranteed double what he is gauranteed in the next fight and could end up with 15million dollars for a fourth fight.

 

No, Arum's said he won't be looking to promote Marquez. This fight is being made because it's the only one left which will safely do 1 million PPV. The opportunity was there to make it without Golden Boy and both TR and Team Marquez jumped on it

 

A lot of you guys are underestimating marquez, he can still figure pac out and be effective. Dont judge only on the mayweather fight, i dont have to insert the most used cliche in boxing to why that went the weigh it did, floyd also had a lot of more pounds on him then pac will on fight night. I do believe pacquiao will win but it wont be the destruction people think it will be I think.
