I'm relaxed. However, you clearly weren't in your reply regarding 'composite' punchers. You were clearly wound up and not a happy chappy judging by your demeanour.
Well the thing is that theyre both such epic characters. I like Ali as the larger than life anti-hero, and Frazier was his reality check. I dont think as a person overall he was particularly that bad. He stuck it to alot of people in his career. The mob-connected bully Liston, the monster Foreman, his 'whats my name?' **** etc..where right or wrong i love his messing with people. Then he tried to pull this stunt on Frazier, but Frazier is just not a guy you **** with. It got so nasty and personal because he was desperate to psyche him out, knowing what he was up against. It had the opposite effect, and the result was the two most evenly matched greats with no quit in either of them having the greatest rivalry in the history of the sport. I dont favour things as black and white, good and bad. Im abit of a twat myself so i can relate to Ali. I love Ali for what he did outside of the rivalry, and i love Frazier because of the rivalry.
Mike Tyson Jack Dempsey Joe Frazier Honorable mentions (you had to ask for 3 instead of 5, didnt you?): Evander Holyfield, Joe Louis.
My favourite TEN. The order could change from time to time, but the top three would probably stay the same. Ali Foreman Liston Tyson Marciano Lewis Louis Klitschko (Vitali) Frazier Cooper
Out of those I watched sufficiently on video (computer) : (1) David Tua (2) Oliver McCall (3) James Toney (his obese version , that is) Norris is very hard to find videos of .
In general based on assorted knowledge (boxrec , forums , wikipedia , videos ) they are : (1) Sam Langford (wasn't really a HW either , just a bloated MW at most) (2) David Tua (3) Oliver McCall
