    Ward will continue to get insulted for this fight being in California, but it's really hard to make a case he's being protected with how he turned this around after the first 3 rounds. I don't get how this fight would be different in another country.

    Hard jabs by Ward pierce the guard. He hooks off the jab and almost pulls the guard completely down by snagging a thumb around Abraham's right knuckle-padding. Ward is moving very well on the outside, and ducking into clinches when it looks like Abraham is going to load up on a big wide hail mary punch. Abraham now tries jabs and rights to the body but quickly reverts to his wild underhanded slugging. Ward backhands Abraham with up-jabs, forcing his way inside. Jab to the belly makes Abraham take a step back. Ward is pawing with his jab to lull Abraham, then lands a hard right to the body. Another of the very stiff jabs sends Abraham stumbling back. More big pendulum blows by Abraham all miss. HARD left hook by Ward, lands flush on the face.

    More of the same again to open the 9th, Ward throwing and circling, AA following and doing nothing. Ward still completely outworking AA, who is still doing almost nothing. More solid jabs from Ward. Solid left jab from AA while Ward was jumping in. Wow, 3 clinches in a row with no punches thrown to initiate them. Textbook ass whipping from Ward since the 3rd.

    This fight is a blowout now, not even going to bother to keep score. As long as Ward keeps his composure, he shouldn't get caught by one of those AA rights ... AA's only chance is landing one big shot.
