Yep. He used to be better with this, but boy has it slipped.

Truth is, though, he always was a big bomber who threw few punches and could set up his power shots. He never was a Pacquiao-like worker. That has just been magnified as he moved up and got a bit older.

He is awful. I think he told AA he will kill his dog if he fires him.

    Agreed! :good

As someone said above, waste of talent. For whatever reason, he just never adjusted his style. He tried some tonight to come forward and such, but too little, too late in his career.

Compare that with Ward, who used to try to be more of an RJJ-type, as was pointed out. He adjusted, it seems, after his beard was exposed earlier in his career. The holding and such aren't fun to watch, but they do work. So, Ward has altered his style much better than Abraham ever has.

Exactly, a lot of guy would have pulled out especially after losing almost every round to Froch and Dirrell the way he did. And he never behaved like a defeated fighter in there tonight against Ward despite getting totally outclassed.

Hopkins is an all-time great; it's not like Pavlik fought Joe Fighter and got punked. Hopkins even made Calzaghe -- a far superior fighter to Pavlik -- look bad. That's what he does. Martinez is a phenom. I get what you're saying. Pavlik was exposed as someone who cant handle movement. Fair. Abraham was exposed as someone who can be outboxed, and pretty easily. If he cant land the big shot, he's not beating you. Maybe that's just at 168, but still that's the assessment. He looked awful tonight and vs Froch, and not much better against Dirrell.

I respect AA. I do. But you have to call it as you see it.

No "No mas" from Abraham. Admirable.

:good Exactly. Ward's realized that just because he's winning, doesn't mean there's nothing to improve on. He grows after every fight, and hasn't shown the type of satisfaction that leads to stagnation. Arthur strikes me as a fighter who, after the Taylor knockout when he was on top of everything, became complacent mentally, fell in love with his power to the detriment of everything else, and quit trying to get better. He still doesn't see the problem.

It has been a waste of talent since then. Sadly, it's pretty common with guys who pack a mean punch.

I'm not sure what all you idiots using the E word saw but I saw a world class fighter in the wrong weight division. Nothing more. Oh and he's tough as nails too. Gotta respect the man for that.

King arthur has always been a hype job, and every one who knows boxing knows this. He makes money cause all the Germans will watch his fights because what? he's German. National pride, its everywhere and it sells tickets. I can't even name the other champs in the MW division other than maravilla because they are probably just the same. Fight bums sell tickets.

I think he's never been as good as some thought at the start of the tournament, but he's not that bad either...

If you put him in with Stieglitz in Germany for the WBO belt, I put my money on Abraham.

The thing with Abraham is that people were giving way too much importance to his punching power at 168lbs. That to this day is still exaggerated... It's the main reason why many picked him to win the S6 at the start of it. I always thought people were crazy to pick him...

The fact that he went life and death with Edison Miranda should tell everyone everything they need to know about him.
