and that's why the poster rayhogan is so unique. they only appear in discussions on catchweights. it's a quite fascinating anomaly.
Paul, don't tell me about reality. You've already talked about Ward deliberately holding more than Wlad much like Lewis did toward the end of his career? Neither man held more than Wlad has or does. You also talked about Ward being a fighter that's safety first, and therefore less exciting than Wlad. You have no grasp on boxing, nor reality if this is your view of the truth. When fighters clash, your in some form of a clinch because of contact. Maneuvering for position, and letting your hands go is common element of in-fighting. It's not deliberate wrestling, Paul, when one guy is trying to keep you from punching or being dirty back. I don't care about Ward being accused of headbutting. Pac is accused taking steroids. Mosley is accused of being a coward. I can accuse that Wlad definitely bends the Marquess of Queensberry Rules more so than Ward. At least with Ward's "supposed" wrestling he's trying to do work and throw punches. Wlad deliberately, and constantly hugs whenever an opponent is in range. Sure, many fighters and HW champions have bent the rules. I can give thousands of examples. But don't throw nonsense at me... if you want know the difference between in-fighting and hugging watch Wlad and then Andre Ward, Jack Johnson, and Jack Dempsey, and THEN you can get back at me.
I live 2 miles from where they fought at the Home Depot Center in Carson. I debated whether to watch live or not. Looks like I didn't miss much, a one-sided clinic. Even though Cintron pissed me off by the acting job he did when he fought Paul Williams, that fight I saw live at the same venue was a 100 times more exciting than what took place tonight. Overall, if Andre Ward stepped up his offense and quickened up the pace a bit, I'd be more of a fan. As it stands, I'm glad I saved the $25 ticket and $15 parking fee that I might have spent watching this snoozefest. I blame Arthur Abraham just as much for not being more active.
No, I believe I said Ward is dirtier than Wlad is. You are copying and pasting in you own mind, it seems. The point is that Ward both holds and is dirty, whereas Wlad just holds but is not dirty. So, 2 > 1 in this instance (dirty + holding) > (holding). Ward is more of a "negative" fighter in this sense than is Wlad. That's what I'm trying to say. Multiple fighters have said that Ward uses his head. Tell me the fighter who has accused Wlad of this? That, in my book, is being a "dirtier" fighter. I love Holyfield, but he was a headbutt machine. That's reality. Wlad holds; Ward holds; Lewis held. Ward seems to headbutt, or his opponents are concerned about same. I hope this helps to clarify things.
**** off you dickmunch, how pathetic to mention his race as the reason he's hated. Try the fact that he has had home advantage (usually enough to set off 90% of American posters) and in some cases home officials in a tournament that was supposed to put every fighter on a level playing field. Try the fact that he almost ended the career of one of the most well liked fighters on ESB with the illegal use of the head and i think you get your answer.
I dont hate ward at all, i hate the hypocritical fans. Froch outclasses AA in a much better fashion than ward and they like meh he just copied Dirrells gameplan, Ward outclasses AA and all of a sudden we got Ward an ATG? Ward vs Calzaghe? Ward best p4p right now? ect ect. If beating AA is such an achievement why didn all these same people mae the same threads fr Froch ect?
Don't personally hate him. I guess the fight did not make a lot of people. People wants to see a fight a good fight. And that was just ok.
