A big shame about Nonito in between Vic and Montiel...could've been an ATG already!!!

His ceiling will be 126 IMO, that's when we'll really see him tested, assuming there's still a quality operator there.

How have you put that giant robot ahead of Ward?

I like that top 5 aside from that.

I swear I remember a thread on P4P Brits only and Haye was listed no.1 as much as Froch :think "two weight world champ etc."

I might be overrating Wlad a touch placing him that highly on reflection.

If Froch beats Johnson the winner of him vs Ward must be top 5, having gone through almost the entire division between them.

I think Marquez and Pacquiao are definitely the top 2, and will be afterwards regardless of the outcome of the 3rd fight between them. Pac will have the #1 spot for the remainder of his career if he wins.

    Froch because....

Froch beat pascal the light-heavyweight champion who beat a top 10 p4p fighter in Chad Dawson and drew against hopkins who is still an elite fighter, went to taylor's back garden and stopped him, as controversial as it was Froch beat Andre Dirrell, put a beating on Abraham, lost a close fight with Kessler in Denmark and had problems with the volcanic ash, Ward has had all his fights in america which is an absolute disgrace! would he have beat Kessler in Denmark? Froch is more deserving of a p4p spot imo.

It just shows...people should never get too down about eras and how they're looking at a particular time. You gotta give time for the next greats to emerge. To me Martinez, Ward and Donaire are exceptional fighters, all very well rounded and tremendous athletes.

Yes. After seeing the fight in America what makes you think it would be any different in Denmark? :think

Of course he'd beat ****ing Kessler in Denmark. The location of the ring doesn't make you get outclassed in every round. Kessler didn't land anything in the fight, he couldn't get his jab going and when that happens to him you know he's in real trouble as thats how he dictates a fight. Let's get this clear, Kessler lost every minute of every round and that isn't going to change whether its in Kessler's back garden or Oakland California. It's sad people keep bringing that up to be honest, it shows a lack of understanding in the ability to read what happened in that fight when Ward's performance is getting lost beneath him being at home and the 'headbutts'.

The travelling? thousands of fans against him..that in itself is nothing he has ever come up against..I too think Ward would win in Denamrk but not as convincingly imo.

Looking good thus far, but they've all still got work to do if they wanna' fit in with greats of other eras.

Let's hope they do, I'm optimistic that more fighters than just Pac can stamp their authority on the sport from this era. Sergio doesn't haave too long IMO, but there are a few decent contenders for him to show his full bag of tricks against.

As I say, Nonito has some more P4P achievments to go for.

And either Ward or Froch can make a genuine claim to being the best 12 stone fighter since the inception of the divison, and yes I'm including Calzaghe and Roy there (both have decent resumes at the weight, these two lads are building dense runs of form) and, as I say, even though the fight looks like Wards to lose, Froch has shown he is the best amongst the clubbers at 168, and if Ward does beat him impressively it must be looked upon as a win of the highest calibre regardless of styles.

Its close but think a lot of posters are favouring Froch because hes a Brit, a proper fighter and we all love him! P4P should be on talent, CV and performances not nationality, popularity or personality.

Ward should be higher, but only just. You can't get away from the cold, hard fact that Froch lost to Kessler and Ward beat him.

    A British top 10....

    1. Froch
    2. Khan
    3. Haye
    4. Cleverly
    5. Murray
    6. Munroe
    7. Rhodes
    8. Barker
    9. DeGale
    10. Gavin

If Cleverly beats Braehmer convincingly he'd go above Haye for now, IMO the German is a better fighter than any of Valuev, Ruiz and Harrison.

Rhodes, Murray, Munroe and Barker are pretty much interchangeable.....
