Firstly, Douglas was in amazing shape. Secondly, Tyson was out of shape, mentally wrecked and with a personal life more messed up than Bob Arum's balls. He was never a "hype job," when he had trained properly with the right people taking care of him Tyson was unbeatable.
Tyson lost the people who were like his family. He didn't have anyone watching his back anymore. He was still young as hell when all that happened, losing Cus, failed marriage to Robin...King throwing women ,cars, and money at him...all the while robbing him blind. Most people just see him as a haymaker machine, but he was a very good boxer, with great defense and head movement. If he would have stayed with Rooney, I think he would have been much greater. If you haven't seen the documentary "Tyson"...you should watch it. Just an unbelievable work of art. Sorry...Tyson will always be my favorite boxer.
