Anyone actually here who can see beyond national borders to appreciate the sport of boxing?

Anyone here who isn't a nuthugger pulling for their man because he has a flag waving over his head?

Wlad vs Haye, Ward vs Froch - let the best man win.

Anyone willing to climb onboard this train with me?

Will root for the Brits. Will appreciate the winners either way.

Consider this your final warning. Step in line with the boxing fan's express or it's goodbye ESB. :hi:

Yes, but with Froch and Haye, I'm going with them not for patriotism but because Froch represents what I want to see in a fighter, and Haye has the chance to end a Klitschko's reign, nothing more.

I can't stand patriotism, that's why I hate when Floyd Mayweather uses his "GET BEHIND THE AMERICAN" excuse.

In twenty years time when this current era of boxing becomes history and its elite protagonists parade in Canastota, nationality will be irrelevant.

It's all about boxing - the great fights and the great fighters.

The banner under which a pugilist campaigns is secondary to the legacy of the world's greatest sport.

    All aboard!

That's an oxymoron, is it not?

    I jest, I jest.

    Go Froch!
Go Johnson! (if he does beat Froch and gets Ward)
    Go Wlad!
    Go Pascal!
Go Marquez! (assuming he gets the Pacqauio fight)
Go Pac! (if he fights anyone else)

I save my flag waving for cricket and rugby. In boxing I like the more exciting fighters, or in some cases the ones who aren't bellends outside the ring (Wlad over Haye).

for example, let's set aside nationality and look at Wladimir Klitschko vs David Haye -

Two elite athletes readying themselves to deliver potentially the most exciting fight in the recent history of the heavyweight division -

Wlad deserves credit for his discipline, excellent conditioning and ability to come back from crushing losses to establish himself as an excellent champion. The way he handles himself outside the ropes deserves enormous credit.

Haye might be cocky to the point of arrogance, yet he has too come back from defeat to establish himself as a great cruiserweight champion. His heavyweight resume might be questionable but I believe he deserves a shot at Klitschko.

What we have here is the recipe for a great fight in boxing's flagship weight division.

Let's set aside the nationalistic bull**** and enjoy a great fight.

    All aboard!
