Mike Tyson 1985 - 1989 would KO both Klitschko brothers inside 7 rounds, if they're still standing after the 6th round. The Klitschko's could probably out-box the same Tyson that was well past it against Lennox Lewis.
Tyson would probably be able to overwhelm Wladimir at some point but I don't think he would take out Vitali. Vitali's chin is granite and like Holyfield he has the mindset not to be bullied. That was Tyson's Achilles heel. Once a fighter did not fear him he lost his mojo.
the poor kids who think that tyson could ko vitali they are dreaming, tyson could not hit even the face of vitali with a clean shot for his size.smith could handle tyson pretty well in the clinch, vitali has better chin, he is much bigger than smith, better fighter, much stronger, harder puncher... i would pick the best tyson by close sd basing on his skill, his defence, his speed.. but this would be the hardest victory of his career .and still i would not put my money on it.
Tyson by a middle rounds tko. As soon as he closes the distance, consistently, against Klitschko, the writing would be on the wall.
Vitali probably too much for Tyson. A very prime Tyson couldn't even come near to stop the elderly Smith or the ruined former drug addict in Tony Tucker. Vitali , in good shape , trained and comes to fight , stops Tyson eventually , remember his head is located just too high for Tyson to reach , and his punches at least harder than Tucker's whom actually rocked Tyson with an uppercut , since when does Vitali through uppercuts ? since when does Tucker throw uppercuts.
Tyson by late stoppage or dec, once he gets inside Vitali's wingspan, the giant would be flailing about like a wounded albatross, body shots would break him down. Tyson has the speed, and power to put a bad beating on Vitali whose own power is seriously overated, imo.Deny Vitali his distance and he becomes rather clumsy, and ordinary, prime Tyson got inside very quickly and once there he batters the big guys midsection. If Vitali fights a survival fight, like Tucker, and Smith he stays around for the finish, otherwise he is stopped around the 9th.
Vitali was probably a lot better than most here on this thread are giving him credit for. And he's huge. A darn sight better than Jose Ribalta and Tyrell Biggs.
Wlad would get KTFO whenever Tyson wants, and knowing Tyson, it will be early. Vitalis supposed granite chin has only ever been tested by one guy, who shredded his face for him. Tyson Kos Vitali late or UDs him. Vitalio Klitsckho is NOT Evander Holyfield
Tyson would jump all over Vitali! You think that Ponderous, slow jab & slow movement could do anything with a Peak Tyson? LMAO drop me out! Vitali & Wladamir are not in the same League as what a Peak Tyson was! And No, I'm not a Tyson fanatic who overrates him! But let's be real here, please!
The closest thing VK ever fought to a Tyson was Sanders, and he had VKs supposedly granite chin all over the place. Tyson wastes VK, those pit pat jabs arent going to stop Iron Mike
Yeah, let's be real. Prime Tyson had a close fight with Tillis and couldn't stop Smith. Prime Vitali stops them both, easily and brutally. Tyson was awesome for his size but also needed the intimidation factor and never met anyone with a combination of chin, size and ability to use size plus workrate like Vitali. Noone ever used speed effectively against Vitali, but Tillis and Douglas used good timing and height to neutralize his speed. Vitali is 4 inches taller than both and has the best reflexes of any of the supersized HW's.
Sanders was a 6'4 southpaw, nothing in common with Tyson and Vitali gave him a brutal beatdown. Vitali stumbled in round one and his chin held up fine, as it did when Lewis hit him with that monster uppercut. What is your definition of "all over the place"? When I hear that, I don't envision a beating the **** out of the other while losing the first round without a KD. Tyson on the other hand was KO'd by Douglas who was never known as a huge puncher.
Vitali never showed he could fight like Ribalta did against Tyson. He failed worse than Ribalta did in a rought slugfest. Thats reaching pretty low on the journeyman ladder, but it perfectly describes how Vitali would fail against Tyson.
