except for Joking Roman Foreman went Joe Frazier-Ken NOrton-Muhammad Ali-Ron Lyle-Joe Frazier between '73 and '76 - I think thats one of the best - Foreman doesn't enough credit for things like that

Foreman actually fought two tomato cans at the end of 1975 (Nov and Dec) to tune-up for the official comeback fight against Lyle.

I won't bother to check the record but I'm pretty sure Harry Greb will have a run somewhere that tops anything anyone else did.
Possibly Benny Leonard rivals him somewhere too.

Alternatively, some tomato can or punching bag type opponent might have lost to umpteen ATGs in a row.

It's an interesting question and exercise. When I'm in the mood to go trawling through boxrec I'll try to dig up some gems.

Tyson has a run that went like this:

    Pinklon Thomas
    Tony Tucker
    Tyrell Biggs
    Larry Holmes
    Tony Tubbs
    Michael Spinks
    Frank Bruno
    Carl Williams

8 consecutive fights aginst (mostly) former champs - won all by KO.

    Another difficult run was Hagler's:

    Duran
    Roldan
    Hamsho
    Hearns
    Mugabi
    Leonard

He won all (yes, he beat Leonard)

These threads are normally ruined by Jimmy McLarnin, so why not chuck him in here? A few below that warrant mention. Holy, more than any other recent fighter takes on anyone and everyone. His run demonstrates this. It's easy to pick holes in Douglas Foreman Holmes, but four lineal titlists in five fights is quite extraordinary. Hopkins run might not impress some, but he has effectively fought the 5 best men in the 160 to 175 bracket in consecutive fights. Apologies for the CAPS below, I'm on me mobile like.

James J Jeffries: Ruhlin, Choynski, Goddard, Jackson, Everett then Sharkey in a row. He then went on a run (after 1 no-name) consisting of Fitzsimmons, Sharkey, *no-name*, Corbett.

them 9 names in 11 fights. brilliant stuff.

    A young Joe Louis against:
Primo Carnera, King Levinsky, Max Baer, Paolino Uzcudun, Charlie Retzlaff, Max Schmeling and Jack Sharkey.
Four former world champions in 7 fights, not bad.

Joey Maxim, From December 51 fought:

Ezzard Charles, arguably the greatest Light Heavyweight ever and consensus P4P top 10, as a reigning world heavyweight champion.
Defended his light heavy title against top contender lrish Bob Murphy.
    Rematched Ezzard Charles.
Fought Heavyweight Journeyman Ted Lowry, who had taken Marciano the distance twice
Fought Sugar Ray Robinson - Consensus P4P Greatest ever, Consensus top 5 middleweight.
Fought Archie Moore - Consensus top 5 Light Heavyweight and top heavyweight contender and consensus top 10 all time P 4 P fighter.
He then eased off a bit with Danny Nardico, followed By Archie moore (twice) and Floyd Paterson.

I have always thought that was an impressive run.

I love how these threads get watered down as people try to squeeze their favorites in: Ted Lowery, Bob Murphy, and Danny Nardico included in a thread about hardest run of consecutive fights... in history...

Boilermaker's? Looks like a great run to me, easily the best in the thread so far. The **** guys are a negative to it but the others more than make up for these few **** guys.

Unless the OP meant no **** guys at all.

Moore x2, Charles x2, Robinson and Patterson. Thats 5 fights against what many might say, consensus top 10 ATG P4P guys. And then an ATG HW thrown on the end of it
