I've seen Pacquiao on a Philippine Boxing Show Blow-by-Blow. He was an exciting fighter to watch, KOing opponents mostly under 4 rds.
Still remember watching Barrera-Pacquiao as a kid on VHS. Didn't know the result beforehand, was expecting Barrera to smash this geezer who I hadn't heard of really. Barrera gets destroyed by a fast powerful fighter. That was enough for me.
I had seen him fight Emmanuel Lucero but I wasn't a fan, and I thought like most Barrera would only be marginally troubled by the speed of the guy moving up weight classes, but that his power and experience would starch Pac. Big fan AFTER that, only rooted against him in Barrera II and Morales III, and now i can't imagine ever wanting to see him lose, and Barrera did not deserve my support in the second fight, honestly, those guys pulled a Pac Mosley that time. Erik, on the other hand, went out like a man. After the first knock down, live, Erik stood up, and from the angle I could see him run forward so fast as soon as he got up to convince the referee he was fine, it looked so much cooler in the arena than later on TV, but we all kind of knew it wasn't going to end well from that point on.
only really followed boxing from Light welter upwards. So always new of him but never watched his fights. So for me it was when he beat De La Hoya.
Never he is a south paw......nice guy, but a south paw........and as a true boxing fan I can not get behind a goofy off balance punching with his head down tripping over his own feet south paw........
I was when he fought Barrera, Morales and Marquez Now I've stopped because he won't take a $100 million blood test
