I remember being blown away when Marquez got up for the 3rd time against Pac in the first round of their first fight. The way that he laid his head back on the canvas as the blood was pouring down into his lungs... I thought that not only was he going to stay down, but that the ref was going to call it off right then. To be hoenst, if I was a ref, I probably would have based on his body language and the fight up to that point. Amazing JMM got back up and proceeded to win the fight, imo.
Great shout :good. Although head shots obviously shake the brain, and literally your senses, some would argue that body shots are usually more painful that head shots (I do), which is why some of the time I'm just as amazed how fighters get up from murderous head shots, as body shots. Now, other shouts from me - Lewis-Grant - How Grant got out of the first round is still crazy to me. Maidana-Khan - I can't believe Marcos not only got up, but almost upset Khan. Montiel-Donaire - We all know why. I've never seen anything like that. (a fighter getting dealt a unbelievable concussive blow to the head, losing all his sense, but then getting his senses back together enough to stand and beat the ten count. ****ing warrior.) Many others obviously, those are just off the top of my head at the moment.
