One of the diffirences between Bruno and Haye is that Bruno had a way more likeable attitude that suits both young people and adults. But i actually think Haye is more wellknown in europe today than Bruno was back then

Bruno became a national treasure and a big personality.

Haye is no way near as popular. Old women would know who Frank Bruno is; they wouldn't have a clue about David Haye.

Haye is not popular outside of drunk football chavs and their sky package.
In general poser types like haye are not liked.

I obviously remember it better than you do :patsch The casual fans weren't really aware of him that much until the Tyson fight, because Tyson was the champion that dragged the casual fans back into the sport - his fights were on terrestrial TV in the early hours back then and people stayed up in their droves to watch them. Of course Bruno was famous over here to the boxing fans before Tyson - but it was the Tyson fight that got the casual fans watching.

no one would ever have said these comments about Bruno-

"David Haye is a first class ****, in fact he's a no class ****. I hope Klitschko lays him out"

    and

"I hope to **** that Klitschko batters Haye! Haye's mouth and attitude is gonna get him beaten up"

Haye is HATED by a lot of Brits, any Brit with class will not be a fan.

    Everyone loved Bruno.

What? Big Frank was a household name way before 1989. I remember all of listening to the Witherspoon fight on the radio in 86.

The BBC coverage of boxing ensured he became well known and helped build him up no end.
